Adding that much weight don't put it under the grommets until you are sure. I would distribute it more along the entire hoop than having it all at noon. I've added 10-12g at noon before and hated it.The pros are mostly using rackets with balance around 2-4pts HL. Is this the balance I should be looking for? I can't play with really HL racket. Adding 12 grams would give me 3pts HL according to WH Customization Tool. SW 355 and total weight 338g. This is probably enough.
I added 12g around 3 o'clock (6g each side). Racket should be now 3pts HL or 33,2cm balance. I like it more than previous 8g at 2. It's more powerful, but not to heavy.Adding that much weight don't put it under the grommets until you are sure. I would distribute it more along the entire hoop than having it all at noon. I decided to go with ports. They say ports add more pop and feel more flexyAlan Hill, That is awesome you are getting a Pro Stock frame! A few months ago, I would have said get the Ports, no question. But now with the new Textreme line, I am liking the normal grommets as well. It all comes down to personal preference though. There is no wrong answer. I would weigh the pros and cons of each and then make your choice. You are going to get more feel with the grommets, but I think the ports add more pop.
314g unstrung, 31.8cm, 314 unstrung swing weight, 27.5 length. I don't know the flex yet. But I also bought the retail 100 Tour, will be able to compare with Pro Stock.I have been bouncing between an O3 White and Textreme Tour 100T. Today though, I am taking the Tour 100 16x18 out on the court! When my Textreme Warriors arrive, my mind is just going to explode Ports, Exo3 holes, or grommets. As long as it says Prince, it is always a great stick! Do you know what the static weight will be on your Pro Stock? Also, what flex it will be, and do you already know what you want the specs to end up being (most people buy pro stocks, and then bring them up to their specs)
This is very similar to my set up. I tried 3&9 but didn't work. I found polarizing work better with Textreme 100T .I totally agree! I have a few I just got a brand new one, added 8 grams to the handle, and then 6 grams spread out from 10-2, underneath the bumperguard. I am stringing it up tonight, and adding a leather grip. It will be ready for battle tomorrow morning!!! It is my favorite racquet, released this year.
I have hit with Wilson H19, which is complete different racket compare to the retail frame. Wilson and Head Prostock different to retail.I started with even more weight 10-2, took some off...and it has been working out perfectly. I lucked into it kind of But I can't complain about the results. I am very interested in hearing your comparison between the Pro and Retail frames. I have always wanted a Pro Stock, but haven't made the decision to get one. If it is a whole lot better, then I would be inclined to go forward purchasing one. But if the differences are minimal, I will feel much better about my retail frames.
I paid 640 Euro for 4 brand new frames (about 175 USD each)That is great news! I was surfing the web, and came upon a site that sells Pro Stocks in new and used condition. The Prince ones were actually not that expensive, around $250, the ones I actually wanted. That's not much more than a retail frame MAP price
Hi Bro,Alan, I was wondering if you have taken the grip off your pro stocks yet? If, and when you do, can you tell me what the handle is made of/looks like (take a pic if you can!!) If it is the same as a retail frame, just extended and lighter, that is great news!! Basically, I can just keep weighting mine up and adding leather grips! (I keep bugging Prince to sell me a couple Pro Stocks!! I am sure they would love it if I stop!!)
Hi BroHow have the Pro Stocks been playing @Alan_Hill ? I am getting around to adding a leather grip this morning to my Tour 16x18's. I will add hoop weight on next restring (I need to get some grommet sets before they are gone) Lol, I am going to have a 12 pack full of 330 gram strung frames, matched and balanced
Hi broThose look awesome!!! What is the thing that looks like Textreme in your trunk?!?!?! It's above the throat of the top racquet. Can't wait to hear how they play!! It's one of the most underrated frames, and almost never talked about on this board!! Did you get them from Pro stock tennis . com? Or do you know someone amazing?
Congratulations on being my hero for the day!!! I wish I could fly out and hit with you. Those are beautiful!!!
I agree. Came upon the Tour 100 last May/June when searching for a more flexible, forgiving racquet. Haven't looked back!I just discovered the Tour 100 with the O-port. It swings so fast, so plush, and a lovely big sweetspot, just magic. Is a pity that the O-port technology was not a commercial success.
Yeah my significant one uses them (too light for me and I'm not into adding weight).I just discovered the Tour 100 with the O-port. It swings so fast, so plush, and a lovely big sweetspot, just magic. Is a pity that the O-port technology was not a commercial success.
