Prince tour 100p 2019 vs ATS

Does anyone feel the ATS 100p has more power than the 2019 version? Only played with it for 3 hours. Feels like I almost need to bump up the tension a little bit for the ATS. Normally, lower stiffness should be less power, right? My 2019 100p is slightly under spec so not sure if the difference is between the design or the QC. Anyone else wants to comment?

Can't comment but QC makes a difference, especially if your 2019 is under and the ATS one is over.

Might try Racquet performance analysis tool in TW university. Lots of low RA/flex racquets with a lot of power (phantom comes to mind). And 2019 vs ATS per it is more powerful.

Interesting to hear your experience. I use the 2015 version because it’s lower powered and it sounds like the ATS might be a step in the wrong direction.

Unlikely. Tiffani used the 2015 version and switched to the 2022 model while passing the 209 version in the process. If anything, this indicates the 2022 model is closer to the 2015. QC variances matter so if there is a decent variance then it's not a fair comparison.

Sorry, have not played the 2019 model. But having played the 2015 TT100P for a couple of years, the video review basically is all about "it is the same as 2015", with some comments about less sw or stability compared to the 2019 one (which both might mean lower stiffness). I don't like the new paintjob... so I don't see any reason to switch from 2015 to 2022. Then again, I am currently swinging a Phantom, which is in the trad black and green as well.

Just purchased the ATS 100p from TW used in A condition for $159.
How did you like the 100P? Just got one for those days that I feel off using the Prestige Pro. I really liked the first generation 100P & debated between the new 100P vs Speed Pro before settling for the 100P.

Any likes or dislikes?

I like the 2019 100p the best. I bought an ATS 100p but it was almost a 1/2” short (go figure) so I sent it back and didn’t use them. If I had a longer ATS 100p I would probably like it, since I feel it just needs SW. :)

My two ATS 100P racquets are on spec and are nearly identical to each other in specs ($30 racquet matching service) and I found them to be a lot more powerful than I expected. I string my rounded poly at 57 lbs too.

QC might differ but 2019 version is 285 SW while 2015&ATS are 290 SW target wise plus they are softer a bit.

I played a while with the 2019 version and this weekend I played with the ATS 100P.

The ATS came in at an unstrung SW of 293. I upped it to 305. Fully strung up with OG and dampener it is 341 SW ~1. I also added about 15 grams to the handle. I strung it up with Alu Power 1.25 at 23/22 KG or ~51/49 ibs. I played the 2019 at similar specs.

I try to be very cautious of drawing comparisons since the QC deviation plays such a big role. But I really did not feel alot of difference between the ATS and the 2019 version. The ATS felt a bit more stable, maybe it is, maybe its the QC. Other than that they felt the same to me.

The guy in this video said that the grip size of the ATS feels bigger than the same grip size of the 2019 version. Seems like every brand makes the grips bigger than they used to be. Disappointing.

i think the handle is the same, though the newest resitex tour might be a little thicker than whatever it replaced. I replace the base grips on my princes with the same yonex grip,.and my.ATS 95 and 98 felt the same size as my Rebel 95.

Yes I just change the grip to the old Prince Resi Pro and then the grip size will be the same as the 2015 and 2019 Textreme Tour Racquets
