Pro Hurricane / BB Alu P rough hybrid

What about it?

My thought is:
Power from the Hurricane in the mains, and control from the Alu P in the crosses?

Sorry that was mean but seriously dude. Read up. Crosses wont give you control it will give you comfort and some lift. And the Hurricane wont give you power either. Its a poly. If you want power get some nice multi.

I wouldn't think that a ProH/BB hybrid would bo too much different than a full job of either one. The general concensus seems to be Poly mains/Multi cross, which i use and recommend.

Many people on this board say that poly/multi is a waste of money, because poly would cut through multi fast. They recommend poly/gut or poly/syn gut (mono) setups.
How does poly/multi work for you? What strings do you use?

I love this combo, I use pro hurricane 18 mains and x-one biphase 17 crosses...it just feels great. The poly does seem to cut through the multi pretty fast though, I just use string savers.

MY harsh tone was directed towards his statement of Hurricane in mains for "power" and alu power in crosses for "comfort"

My favorite is BB Original Rough mains and Livewire XP (or XP professional or Head perfect control) crosses. Durability of the crosses doesn't seem to be an issue, because by the time the crosses break, the mains have lost just enough tension to warrant replacement.
