<MOVING TO Strings FORUM>
Historically played with classic players' racquets (Wilson ProStaff Classic 6.0 85 sq. in., Dunlop Max 200G, Puma / Estusa Boris Becker), mostly strung with Prince Topspin or Prince Synthetic Gut 16g and 17g.
Now trying to test some of the more modern-style racquets with a larger hitting area. Have a Pro Kennex Graphite Destiny Pro in good condition. Rather open pattern on a 98 sq. in. frame., but currently strung with a very old, thin gauge string of unknown type, low tension and launching tennis balls too much. (Good spin, though, and much easier to hit the ball over the net than with the classics.)
Looking to restring the Destiny to tame it a bit and provide extra comfort and control, and would much appreciate your recommendations for an affordable string (say, < $15/set).
Player profile: 4.5 rating, OHBH, serve & volley, playing about 3 hrs / week but looking to increase.
