Pro serve tendancies

Hi i was just wondering if anyone would bother helping me compile a list of pro service tendancies. an example would be roddick's signature kicker way out wide on the add side. i was having a debate with one of my friends, he said sampras was def more topspin serve than slice serve, i said more slice than topspin, particulary on second serve. topspin happened but not as fequently i felt. am i off the mark?

Sampras' 2nd serve tended to bounce fairly straight. That indicates that his serve is approximately 50% topspin and 50% slice (7:30 to 1:30 swingpath).

If his serve were mostly slice, it would kick more to the left. If it were mostly topspin, it would kick more to the right (twist kick). In fact, Sampras did vary his angle of attack (sometimes more 8 to 2, sometimes more 7 to 1), while using the same ball toss, so that the direction of the kick would be disguised.

Wrong

This is true

If it were mostly topspin, it would kick more to the right (twist kick).
Depends on spin imparted.
To bounce straight spin would have to be 6-12.

7-1 or 8-2 bounce left.

5-11 bounce right

for some reason, i was under the impression that he loved slicing out wide to the deuce side and pulling the opponent off the court as a result and hitting a crosscourt volley to the open court. btw this doesn't have to be a sampras only thread. lemme try to mix things up a bit, safin hitting the bomb up the T for instance?
