Pro Stock YouTek Prestige - Can you guess the model?

Hi, I have a question for you guys since you seem to know this stuff pretty well :)

I came into possession of a pro stock Head racquet painted like a Youtek Prestige MP. It didn't have cap grommet (unlike all Prestiges that have it(, and there is no info on the throat of the racquet (TKG or PT57a...). It has lead under the bumper guard and silicone in the handle. I capped it and now it weighs around 355-360 g strung, 18x20 string pattern.

So my question is can you guess is it TGK 238 or PT57? I saw that most of the TGK racquets on the internet have TGK code on the throat. Plus, this one had regular grommet, not cap when I got it. I was said that it was customized for Gilles Simon, but I also saw that he has cap grommets on his racquets. I play with pro tour 630 and must say that feeling is pretty close to that of a pt630.

I will attach pictures.

Thanks,
Luka

The pictures are a little blurry. My only observation is that the butt cap is consistent with the the retail ones on the Youtek line. (I have the same one on my Youtek Radical Pro.)

I agree, but the retail one has specs written on the throat, while this one has nothing, its clean. Plus, when you open the buttcap, the handle is full of silicone. And like I said, it didn't have a cap grommet, it had a regular grommet similar to the made in austria pt 630 ( it was also sold with regular grommet, as well as the cap grommet)

Post a good clear photo of where the grommet channel ends at the throat on the side of the racquet. No blurry photos please.

Thank you! I saw that now, when i compared it to my PT 630s (I have one made in austria and one designed in austria). Besides that TGK feels a little stiffer and the feel is not as smooth as with the pt630. Much harsher to the arm.

Yes, it is. Both your PT 630's were manufactured in Austria.

Thanks, I didn't know that eather (for the Designed in Austria one). The problem is (for me at least) when you try pt, you can't play with anything else anymore :) I was longtime prestige pro user (had microgel, then youtek IG), then got those pt630 and sold everything else. Now I'm selling this TGK and two pro stock Princes (tx141p) that I have. No need for those, just taking space in my closet :)

Yes, its true. Once you play with the Pro Tour 630 with all of it's Twaron goodness you can't play with anything else. The other racquets just feel very harsh and unforgiving.

Unfortunately the vast majority of consumers want harsh and unforgiving.

I'm happy with my IG Prestiges though would like to try the PT57A. The thing is I'd need to buy a matched set in case I really liked them.

If you can you should also try and demo the 2021 Prestige Pro. It’s very plush and a fun hit. I have it my in bag and in rotation.

Do you have a review on it that you could post a link to? I'm used to to 27.6 to 27.75 inches which makes it harder to find racquets in general.

I watched the TW review and it sounds really nice. I'm surprised that they went this soft on it. I guess the 98 is a bit more forgiving too.

It’s very nice. I love mine. I’m someone that has played Prestige Classic for most of my life.
