Pro Supex Blue Gear Vs. Pro Hurricane Tour

I need some help deciding between Pro Supex Blue Gear and Pro Hurricane Tour.

WHICH IS MORE SPIN FRIENDLY?

I tend to enjoy more crispier strings and look for tension maintenance. Durability does not matter.

Blue Gear is definitely more spin friendly than hurricane tour hands down. Its due to it's extreme protuding edges which are actually visible. I'm not quite sure about it's stiffness, but I'm pretty sure the babolat string is abit more stiffer than blue gear.

i don't think so... people found pro hurricane more stiffer than pro hurricane tour, but on a string stiffness data report they put PHT stiffer than blue gear and PH

Search up jonolau's Pro Supex blue gear review and make up your mind :D
He strongly commends blue gear for it's unmatched spin capability.

Blue Gear is the best spin string I've ever tried. I've tried PHT in the past, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Although it says on the package that PHT has an octagonal shape, it actually doesn't; it just has a few bumps.

I would give a slight edge to BG in the spin dept. but PHT is not far behind. Also PHT holds tension much better than BG and PHT will give you better pop and control as well. The small amount of extra spin you will get with BG is not worth it IMO vs. the other significantly better playing characteristics of PHT.

well the edges on BG get rounded out over time. so i'd say BG only has a little bit more spin the first few hours. if you want more spin, hit harder and/or string tighter.

Are you serious!?
Spin wise BG has much more then a slight edge on PHT.

Yes I'm quite serious. String only provides a small piece of the puzzle with regards to spin. Spin comes mostly from swing path and racquet speed. These are functions of technique. If you give Nadal Blue Gear, PHT or his normal Duralast and measure revolutions on the ball you will find there is not a very significant difference. The string is only 1 very small part that impacts spin.

Blue Gear is the best string for spin and if you hybrid it with another softer string like Big Ace or any Multi. it just kicks butt ... nothing is better at any price...
