Hey guys I'm about to buy a reel of string and I am deciding whether to get the Big Ace or the Blue Gear.
Here's what I need and want of a string, great durability, well at least 3 days and great control. I play with heavy topspin, and I know Blue Gear its designed for spin but would it last 3 days?
(I broke Luxilon B.B. ALU Power rough in 2 days- Aprox. 7-8 hours)

Both fit the package you described. It comes down to more spin or more feel. Blue Gear for more spin and Big Ace for more feel.

if u broke ALU power rough in two days, i doubt either is going to last you 3 days, actually the only string that i would expect to would be kevlar, but at least with supex, they will prob last 6-8 hours and are3 significantly cheaper then lux

Is it even possible to break bb in 2 days?? You must be hitting with hell of spin. It lasts me atleast 2 weeks.

no, that might break in 2 hours for the OP. :wink: have you considered stringing kelvar in the mid-40's, or even babolat string savers? I suggest try the stringsavers around the sweetspot first, and see how that lasts you. it should last atleast 2 hours more.

Lol i use blue gear on my n4 full and my RDS hybrid with sensation its been friendly to me the blue gear on my n4 hasnt been broken for almost 1 year and a half now so i think its good. and the hybrid on my RDS is holding up nicly so far... almost been 1 week now

yes they do, but my advise to this guy is 16g because he's going to break them

I swear by Big Ace and I've used a lot of different types of string. I hit with a lot of spin, but not a big string breaker so I go with the 18g in full poly. I've heard people that used blue gear switched to big ace. Maybe try the 16g with with a syn gut to help your arm?

I've got 4 sets of dubs and one set of singles on a set of BA and I'm very pleased so far.
