Pro Wrestling - Stars, Feuds, Accidents, Bloopers, Hall of Fame

Looking forward to watching the Vince McMahon series.

I've been watching some of his videos lately. He was doing his own five-star rating of matches. I watched a video today, he was ranking how painful finishing moves are. It would be fascinating if Meltzer tried to debate how painful finishing moves are. You're way out of your element here, Sir.

It's funny how youtube lands on something and makes you a fan. That happened with story time with Dutch Mantell lately. Never listened to him apart from when he was ever in WWE but now enjoy his videos.

I feel you, something about the way Stevie approaches his topics (and remembers so many details) I love He's also not just trying to put himself over, love the channel.

Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns hugging it out gives me life. haha Aww good stuff.

Pretty good show. It was strange, I just said I need to watch tonight.

The fraud bloodline taking another beating.

Oh, here we go. THE ROCK!!!!!"!! Yeah, he came out and posed then the show ended. The usual.

I was watching a few clips again, The war games match looks to have been built up well. The clips I watched were CM Punk's reveal as the fifth man, Paul Heyman's return. haha Have to say, I don't think I've seen Heyman looking so clean in a long time. The black and red suit is lovely. Crowd going mad when they heard his voice. Yeah, this was some good stuff.

Have to agree some of the comments I read. Solo is a star, he has evolved.

I decided that it had to be done. WWE network subscription back on to check out Survivor Series.

I'm really hyped for the war games match. Woohoo.

Good promo there, Bron Breakker.

Strongly advise any real fan to watch The Iron Claw. Seen it twice already.

Exceptional movie, only one thing I didn't like in it, a certain portrayal of a wrestler who plays a cameo. Apart from that, amazing watch, especially if you are familiar with the Von Erichs and what happened to them.

Effron and co hit it out of the park, and the work they have put into looking and being the part is worth a lot of praise.

Go watch it. (y)

Yeah, It's good stuff, I watched it last night. Speaking of that cameo, it’s one of those times when I legit think I could have done a better job. haha

Watched this today for the first time ever as someone who knew nothing about the Von Erichs. This movie was an absolute masterpiece. As someone who recently lost a sibling it hit especially hard. And he lost all of them. I was not prepared for the emotional punches this movie was about to unfurl on me. I think I'd rather get hit by the actual Iron Claw than watch this again.

What cameo are we talking about? Ric Flair? I did think his character was pretty weak - the promo especially was a pretty mediocre scene. The locker room scene was a little bit better.

I love how it towed the line between realism and 'fakeness' of wrestling. Didn't ham up the realism to an excessive degree because they knew it would be insulting wrestling fans intelligence doing so - but also didn't insult their intelligence by making it look fake.

I don't have it in me to watch the dark side of the ring content about this. The movie version was hard enough to watch.

@Hitman @Poisoned Slice @MichaelNadal The scene where Kerry sees his brothers again. Heaven/a vision/Kevins imaginations whatever/however you interpret it one of the most powerful scenes I have seen in easily a decade plus. That is the number one hope anyone with lost loved ones has - that that scenario actually happens in some kind of afterlife.

God dayum. That movie was incredible. And I will never watch it again. Not because I didn't like it, but because I couldn't handle it again.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into with that. I was not emotionally ready for that. ZE and JAW completely killed it in this movie.

It's a legitimate 10/10 for me.

I am deeply sorry for your loss my brother.

Glad you enjoyed it, not being ready for it helps bring out your truest emotions.

Yes, the Ric Flair promo felt like it was the first take or something. :giggle: But it is one of those things that has grown on me over time, I've watched it so many times now. I think it's now in the so bad it's good category. I guess it does prove that there is only one Ric Flair. Custom made from head to toe, baby. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I've spoken to some people that went to shows Kerry was on back when they were kids, and they light up when they talk about the brief moments they spent with him, he was so good with the fans. The whole Von Erich story is one of the Greek tragedies of wrestling/life.

My brother told me to watch Dark Side of the Ring on it. I was like brother, no. Lol. The "worst" part about the movie is I know for as brutal as it was, it was sugarcoated.

Super glad I watched it though. I have talked about it with a few of my non wrestling friends who I told to watch it and they all said the same thing: It gave them a newfound appreciation for wrestling.

I saw after the fact the movie made grown men cry and leave the movie at different parts. Absolutely believe it.

Punk and Seth now have one of those stats that go along with the first show on netflix. They headlined it.

Gotta say, I know the Hulkster said some unforgivable things and his track record through the years is quite immaculate when it comes to doing what is best for the Hulkster, dude. I wanted him to get cheered, Jack. Awk well. It's a bit sad.

I try my best to avoid any sort of politics.

Yeah I really wish fans would stop booing him. He’s done far too much for wrestling.

People being people. Suppose I can understand, but I hear you, I feel the same, and I won't start comparing wrestler sins. I just feel like give Hogan the ovation he's earned while you're starting your new thing on Netflix. If this was during Hulkamania era, they'd be sweetening that crowd, Jack. 8-B

I had one of those watchalong things on youtube earlier and a few people predicted this. I haven't been watching or anything but I just thought yeah, whatever, he's never turning. But damn, a little heel turn for our John. I guess I'll have to tune in for the build to mania now. Cody vs Cena is a match that excites jaded ol me.
