Spotfest vanilla midgets lol
It's too crazy for this ol traditionalist prude. :p haha I would have avoided it, but the Stevie Richards video came on Youtube. I know Edge and Moxley have always loved ''extreme wresling'' or whatever you want to call it, it's a shame they don't have limits or people telling them to stop. Maybe they do, and they just don't listen.

It reminds me of Superman 2 when Lois tells Clark that he didn't know Zod would come to Earth, but then he corrects her. ''They knew. They tried to tell me. But, I didn't listen."

I need to hear Cornette’s take lol

From Brian

''Edge hasn't looked good since he returned to wrestling. His match with Randy Orton was one of the worst things I've ever seen and Moxley looks like sh1t on a good night.'' :D

Here we go, cancel all plans. I do find it amusing how we're both listening to Jim Cornette. It's one of those things I wouldn't have imagined back in the day, at least not for me. Eh, that;s life, things change.

He's just so damn funny and cares about wrestling looking like wrestling and things making sense.
Edit: damn the vid has 120,000 views already o_O

Ospreay is the best AEW wrestler. Possibly the best wrestler in the world.
He's amazing. The comment I usually see on Youtube clips are mainly upset because of the amount of five star ratings Will Ospreay has when Kurt Angle didn't get 1. I don't get upset over things like this even if I disagree. I know Angle vs Shawn at Wrestlemania, Benoit, Eddie, Undertaker, Edge, some of the matches vs Brock Lesnar, matches I'm forgetting about right now, then all his matches for TNA. etc etc. In my view, there are plenty of five star matches there.

I get to see him at the PPV in two weeks. Can't wait.

Looks like John Cena is having a real good time here. Confronting groping fans that pulled on his machine gun jubblies in Europe.

To be fair, there was a lot of unwanted touching in Europe. CM Punk trying to take a selfie with a fan and somebody else, a model apparently :D Yeah, she was touching him inappropriately or something.

Cody Rhodes had trouble as well.

Ric Flair reacts to Cena's comments.

''“They’ve been trying to get rid of the ‘woo’ for 50 years. The ‘woo’ ain’t going away, and neither is Ric Flair.”

So WOOOOOOOOOOOOO to that.

''Dave Meltzer's office would explode if he had to rate Kurt Angle vs Will Ospreay at the Tokyo Dome. ''

The kid took it well, he's famous now. Fair play to him. Kayfabe dead though. :p

''The kid John Cena cooked in Brussels recently gave his reaction to that segment in a very sporting way.

"John Cena pointed his finger at me & I was honored. I didn't know he was going to sh1t on me, but I understood he was in character. To me, John Cena will always be a hero."

Awww that's sweet. Making me feel all warm.

Okay finally home after the AEW PPV show. WOW, what a marathon that was but I had a blast. I made it on the Jumbotron several times. I had a @Poisoned Slice O Mania sign that I will look for on the broadcast during my day off tomorrow. The other side of my sign implored Man United to sign Will Ospreay.

My review of the show:

Will Ospreay - actually pretty tame compared to his usual high flying action. Perhaps he wanted less spots and to build up his opponent and build his confidence. Sounds like he’s a newer AEW guy. Bless him if so.

FTR - love these guys. They turned on Edge at the end in brutal fashion. It was a trios match they lost. I am happy to have seen Edge but he looks rough. I don’t doubt Edge vs Mox was crap because Edge has lost several steps. Made me sad but nostalgic at the same time.

Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley - Holy nostalgia, Batman. These guys are as shredded as they were in 2005 and wrestled great.

Chris Jericho - every time I see this man live I leave more impressed than the previous time. He is in impeccable shape and wrestles beautifully. He has aged like a fine wine. Bless him x2.

Kenny Omega - His wrestling is as pretty as advertised, prettier even. Great triple threat match with lots of near falls and good selling and acrobatic moves. Probably my favorite match of the night.

Mox vs Swerve- Epic end to the night. Ending was very ECW RVD-Cena esque. Lots came out to interfere in the match, and then the lights went off and The Young Bucks appeared and attacked Swerve helping Mox retain, much to my brothers delight and the crowds chagrin. Mox looks in way better shape than he did two years ago when I saw him last. He is taking his job as top AEW guy very seriously. Never been a big fan but bless him x3.

I had an absolute blast tonight, not a single bad match on the 5 hour card, including pre-show.

There is almost 100 percent certainty I was on TV. The YB came right up to our row at the end of the PPV. I got to pat Nick Jackson on the back they were so close. Decent chance my Slice sign or Ospreay to Man United sign got on TV.

It's wild how old and slow Edge is now. He looked so good when he came back in 2020, it's been a rough 5 years.

I imagine Uncle Dave was at his most hyped when Okada confronted Kenny Omega. I might be thinking wrong, but I think that was the first match to break his five-star rating system.

Glad you had a good time, it sounds awesome. (y)

It's funny, I asked my brother where TYB were and he said they haven't been on TV for months. Cue the darkness in the Swerve match and we had no idea who was running down the ring. It was them. And they screwed Swerve, the crowd was furious. :D

That must have been sweet with the feeling of electricity when there was a surprise. I've never been to an event that had a mystery surprise or something since it was mainly house shows. The Undertaker's entrance was the most exciting thing of the night, usually. I didn't get lucky the year I went to WCW because Vader won the world title from Sting in Dublin, a day after the event up here. Awk well.

I immediately thought of Undertaker when it went dark. My brother was convinced Swerve won because all of the people involved in the storyline had already come out and been dealt with. He was in his Mox Hockey Jersey. One of the only Mox fans last night, lmao.

I don't really have a preference when it comes to AEW vs WWE for anyone wondering. I find one promotion does things better than the other. When AEW first came up, I liked it more than WWE just because it was fresh and new. But nowadays that isn't the case anymore. If I take what I like from both instead of engage in tribalism, I get the best of both worlds and a very fun and enjoyable viewing experience.

Where I think AEW shines brighter than WWE:

Letting "lesser" talent shine
Mid - Low Card matches are generally more appealing
Tag Teams and Trios

Where WWE shines brighter than AEW:
Story-telling
Main Events
Advertising/General Social Media Reach (Makes sense, WWE was here long before AEW) - this in turn generates insane hype. John Cena's heel turn was talked about for weeks by wrestling and non wrestling fans alike in real life and all over the internet

Where I think both are excellent:
Promo Cutting - Lot of talent on the mic in both promotions
Rabid Fan-Bases: Crowds add a lot to events, and both WWE/AEW events I have been to this year have been electric crowds
Cashing in on Nostalgia: This one is self explanatory, but we are all suckers for it.
Women's Wrestling - Both have some real badass women that are legitimately entertaining to watch.
Commentary - Both promotions have excellent, top tier commentary/ring announcers

Death riders need to go. That's it. Cornette calling Moxley Dick the Boozer and the bore horsemen is so accurate lol. Tony thinks he's making Moxley into Bloodline Reigns by keeping the belt on him but he's not.

Not really excited for this year's Mania build, it's been meh tbh.

John Cena sold that RKO masterfully. :D I need to make a meme of Cena lying on the mat. Yeah, it's a bit weird, I can remember saying many times how Cena vs Orton is a match I've seen too many times. But now, it's all different since Cena is a bad guy. I think I'm hyped for it.

Bron Breakker is now a Heyman guy. Ohhhhhhh.

Rusev back.

That Gunther attack on Pat was nice. :p

Hulk Hogan doing Hulk Hogan things, Jack.

''In a video interview that circulated online, Hogan began hyping up the RAF by discussing all the amateur stars that he watched transition into pro wrestling. One of the names mentioned was none too pleased. "I got Brock Lesnar when he first got out of UFC," Hogan said (wrongly) in the video. "I got Kurt Angle when his eyeballs used to roll back like a shark when he came out for me. Benjamin Shelton... I mean, all these different guys that I've had the opportunity to see adapt to our business."

Hulk, come on, dude, help yourself. Get the damn name right.

That random time when Bret Hart was a racist, allegedly. I can remember Shawn calling him racist to the core and the wizard of racism or something .:D I'm reminded of the time The King said he had evidence that Bret was using anti-Japanese slurs.

Wow, I had no idea John Cena vs CM Punk is tonight. Hmm, think it is time to reactivate the account once more. Wow, I keep having flashbacks to 2011 money in the bank. One of the best cards ever, top to bottom. Makes me wish again for times gone by. Awk well, such is life. I think I'll tune in.

I hope WWE subvert expectations at Summerslam but seems like an obvious Cody win over Cena with Cena turning back into a face. With the possible “surprise” being it’s a double turn and Cody goes heel. Orton going full 2009 and screwing Cody would make for better drama. I am enjoying Cena’s heel run but it’s too telegraphed atm.

I like Triple H but I don’t know how much I believe in his storytelling. Especially his one on one storytelling. He seems to have someone interfere every main event match.

It was actually pretty good too. I'm so glad CM Punk is around
