Projected Mens Wimbledon QF

Nadal will lose to FAA in the quarters. There's a chance he loses to Cilic too, I think whatever the case he'll be too tired after the Cilic/FAA games to do anything against Berrettini in semis even if he makes it there somehow, he needs a lot of luck with draw collapsing to have any chance. And let's be honest Nadal is very likely a worse grass court player than FAA and Berrettini these days. As for Kyrgios I think his ceiling is QF, and might not even get there. He's very good but the years of absence mean his body can't really withstand so many matches. It's a shame because when he's 100% he can beat anyone but he'll be 100% for 1 or 2 rounds at best (and this is just in physical terms, the mental side must be taken into account too)...

Djokovic got one of the easiest draws in recent memory he shouldn't lose a single set until the semis (though he likely will as Djokovic tends to tank early rounds)

He'll likely lose to Cilic/FAA/Berry. It's a nightmare draw.

True but Rafa at Wimbledon has a weakness against big server and hitter. Even Novak got upset against big Sam and was 0-2 down against Anderson and was trailing Cilic. Novak have been avoiding them in first week for many years.

That's 6 years ago, when Querrey was a top player. You're overrating him. Djokovic' opponents have much higher ranking, that's usually the way TT rolls - and Opelka is the best server in the entire field.

But Opelka's ground game and volleying skills are mediocre. So, he's not really a threat
Gave Nadal a hard time in IW a few months back. If he makes the 4th round the court will be akin to a hard court if its been dry which makes Opelka very tough. Novak would have to be near his best to win that match if it happens

Who knows? I thought he was the strongest young mental player we had seen in many years - he beat Nadal and Djokovic and proclaimed he was ready for the big stage - and then he lost . . . to ZVEREV...

Well, his best surface is hard court, he has problem penetrating on clay court and makes too many errors.he might be great at Wimbledon but he's only 19 and it takes time to perfect grass court tennis. this year he will be lucky to make it to qf.

It was a bad look for him to lose to the weakest mental top player known to mankind in a slam QF.

Last year had the same field, but also Fed, Med, Zed and Shapo, minus Ned.

2018 was the best Wimbledon in the last 7 years by a fair margin.

This year looks mediocre af.

Shapo is playing this year, though. Also Med and Zed are non-factors and not interesting on grass with their endless baseline grinding.

And for Fed, I guess it was interesting, but it ended up being more sad than intriguing. Watching the grass GOAT get bagelled by Hurkacz in the last set is weird

Nobody really believes it.
The propaganda is over, at least, until the US Open series.
:D
I really hope he will come back to making an impact then or at least to be in the discussion. He is the one I would be really sad about if he just slowly fades away into obscurity.

Yes and as we know that is all that matters on grass right? Like Ruud and Tsitsipas are better than Berr, FAA and Hurkacz erm... wait

No, I was joking a little, as I'm sure you can realise if you pay attention to my post - because for some, rankings are used when it suits the agenda, and sometimes it doesn't matter at all, which is a little funny. We see daily posts of "how many wins against top5" when it really doesn't always matter, and what matters is the best players in a tournament usually goes deep.

Tsitsipas just won his first grass title today, btw. 8 titles in total. FAA has won one title his entire career...

Felix the cat has a quarter-final at Wimbledon, the Philosopher has not.

Opelka isn’t good on grass despite the serve. Djokovic has no challenge until the SF, and I doubt even Hurkacz will be a threat. Nadal has to face Cillic, FAA, and Berretini back to back to back. Nadal’s been getting so messed up on his drawa lately

Hurkacz has had a better grass court season than Cilic and FAA. If he reaches the semis, it should be a good match.

Tell me the truth, who would be harder to beat on grass: Boy Wonder or Felix the Cat?
:D

Not sure if any them are hard to beat. Carlito almost lost to Struff.
I'll go with Felix. But Carlito has a lot better mentality.

Perhaps Fritz beats Felix - should he get through Cressy.

Then there's Covid... No bets this year :D

To be a little bold; I think perhaps Brooksby can do well.
