ProKennex - Kinetic Pro 5g or 7g

Hello guys,

I am trying to make a decision on buying myself a new racquet.
I've demo'd:
1. ProKennex Pro 7g :)
2. Head Microgel Prestige MP
3. Donnay Pro One OS
4. Boris Becker Pro

Out of these 4, the one racquet that stood out to me was the Pro 7g. I haven't had the chance to demo the Pro 5g, so I was a bit hesitant to just go ahead and buy the 7g.. Or get the 5g.. :???:

Personally, I really liked the groundstrokes the 7g gave me. The stability was profound, and I found a very consistent stroke with it. It was still very maneuverable at net as it was very head-light. I've also had a semi-serious tenis elbow(still recovering from the full western grip), but with the 7g, I didn't feel any pain. :)

Could somebody who has demo'd/owned BOTH of these racquets please tell me what the better racquet is of the two? I know the 7g is just a extended version of the 5g with more weight, but I wanted to get a little advice from the TW community before making a finalization.

A bit of a background info..
I am an all-around player and my ranking is 4.0, whether or not that should help your advice for me. I serve flat and hard(try to :)), and have a semi-western forehand grip. I am agile, 5'10'' and currently playing with a Head FXP Radical OS, which I detest. It is very unstable on off-centered hits, and is not head-light enough to be maneuverable. Hence the search for the new racquet..

Thanks you guys, and I'm sorry if this has been posted before. I tried searching for it, but none came up. Please help me arrive to a conclusion!

One thing I forgot to mention: The 7g had a lot of pop to it on the groundstrokes, which I was happy with. However, for some odd reason, I wasn't able to produce the same serving speed that I was normally able to.(with the Head Ti S6)
So, if you have any suggestions as to adding weights on either the 7g or the 5g, please let me know.

The 7G is 0.5 inch longer than the 5G. That's the most important spec of a racquet by a mile. Thus, go with whichever length you prefer.

ps. why can't you demo the 5G? I will be trying the 5G shortly, I'll let you know if you'd like.

I am aware of the 7g's etra 0.5 inch length. It didn't bother me too much, so I guess I didn't think much of it.
When I try to demo the 5g or the Redondo C, it always says that it is out of stock.. Regardless if the expected date is past the current date.

I owned both. Like the standard length 5G more than the 7G.

The 7G is noticeably stiffer.

I also had tennis elbow. Currently, it is 70% ok.
I bought the 5G first (switching from Wilson NSix-one 95 16x18) to help me heal my TE. As my TE improved, i began to notice a lack of power so i began experimenting: swinging faster, adding more weight, looser strings. However, when i started swinging faster, my TE acted up again. I then decided to get the 7G.

With the 7G, i get more pop without swinging faster compared to the 5G. This effortless pop is a big benefit to my TE. So even if the 7G is a little stiffer than the 5G, the 7G allows me to swing slower and at the same time get more pop translating to better TE comfort and shot accuracy.

The 7G is longer by .5" compared to the 5G. However, I can always choke up on the handle if necessary to prevent arm stress on certain shots.

If i knew then what i know now, i would buy the 7G instead of the 5G.
