Proof that Federer and Djokovic are friends

Honestly who cares if they're friends or not. I don't give a damn if they're friends. I don't give a damn if they hate each others guts.

So Becker spewed some BS to sell his book. That doesn't mean people need to prove that Djokovic and Federer are friends. It doesn't matter if they're friends or not. They don't need to be friends.

Powerful pictures in that video though.

Novak and Fed walking with eachother. Too much greatness in one picture.

Would you go up there with someone you hated or didn't trust? I sure wouldn't. I'd be terrified he was going to push me off the edge. Easy murder.

Then again, I wouldn't go up there to begin with. I'd have a panic attack in the elevator and be curled up in a ball in the corner of it until they brought me back down.
Seriously.

The were paid to be there, it was for the tennis tournament.

Are you saying Novak is potentially stupid enough to think about pushing Fed off an edge with a video of him? Seems like a stupid thing to even think up.

Stupid thing here is you believing he was serious. LOL

Are you for real? You actually thought he was serious?

I wonder why Laver is the only one not touching the trophy?
Borg and Sampras still long to reclaim their youth in the days of yore, to be a champion again; filling in this now hollow feeling of ineptitude and impotence; remembering the golden time before the greying of the hairs and the fading of their prime. They imagine themselves in Federer's position, hoisting the trophy to the cheers of the Wimbledon crowd.

Meanwhile...
Laver accepts that he's an old fart and is content

i also see Laver as one who sees through the BS—the BS of this photo-op and the BS that it stands for. of all the greats, i think he's the one who is least likely to put majors or the grand slam on an unreachable pedestal, perhaps because he's reached it.

I doubt they are friends. But they probably have a decent working relationship.

Ah, if only they'd reconstructed the tennis court for them both to play on just like they did for Federer and Agassi back in 2005. What an opportunity missed for them to cement their friendship by creating a similar iconic image for all the world to see!

wait a moment, where are the walls? falling seems so easy, and what a waste of tennis balls if they all fall into the ocean..

Djokovic will never win the french and it is really too bad because only a selfish fan boy lunatic would not want to see him win it after all his success against Nadal and others on clay. And I will take zero french open titles over 1, 3, 0 in absolute prime. Can never excuse that one away. Fed got his French and as is always the case in all tournaments without Nadal in the draw.

Hey, it's not my fault Djokovic isn't good enough to beat Wawrinka, a 1-time Slam champion when the match happened. You might want to think about that before calling Roddick and Hewitt weak

GOAT-post kudos...

Is that meant to be a dig at Rafa? Do you think we, Rafa-fans are incensed that Stan won RG? Most of us are happy for him. Those of us that aren't happy are indifferent. Rafa-fans aren't upset that Stan won. We're just glad Nole didn't (kidding, but not really). And correct me, if I'm wrong, but didn't Stan whoop Roger on the way to that trophy?

I was happy Federer lost, because he wasn't beating Djokovic in the final anyway. Wawrinka is my 2nd favorite player, and I knew he had a shot, so I was pulling for him over Federer. And it paid off :)

If they don't like each other, what do you think they're going to get into a fist fight every time they meet ? They talk like that because they don't feel the need to start smack talking or give a cold shoulder everytime they see each other, they're nice people, who prefer to be friendly with others and try to have fun.

23-10. Bout time seems fed fans needs some humbling fed needs another beating from Nadal. Hopefully very soon.
Yeah, me too, at Wimbledon. Fed up with blabbing of his fans about him here in every thread here 24/7:twisted: Then it would be oh hes old no ground game anymore, basically grandpa but pushed prime blah, blah , blah....

I can't see why they wouldn't be good friends. Both are nice family guys and always show respect to others. Those kind of people get along with anyone unless being treated intentionally rudely. They are the kind of people who wouldn't hate anyone for no reasons. Clearly, Becker was just trying to sell his books.

All of you who are young will not understand that Novak is not yet 30, and Fed is only a bit over 30. You don't even start to understand what life is about until around age 30, and having kids really speeds up the process.

Most likely they will either be friends or aging men who respect each other greatly - in the future.

at 30 years you can look back in retrospect of your whole life way more meaningfully than a 20's or a 40's, the age has that kind of ring to it.
I can see their children competing between them, but like anything they could pick up any other sport or not pick up anything at all.

They may feel a bit jealous about each other or want to beat each other so badly, but I think they are real friends. I think they are so mature for their age.

Yah, they played the whole Tournament up there. Lost 1,352 balls, 6 ball boys and 2 linesmen. Simply tragic. Fed won tho, thats whats important.
Mind you, it was a close run thing! The umpire just about managed to call the match for Fed when he disappeared over the side. But of course, you're right. It's important to get a sense of perspective about these things!

I totally agree. I'm almost twice Fed's age, and I could not even being to act as cool as he does under pressure. The rest of us have the luxury of saying what we really think most of the time and not having it discussed by the whole world. ;)

even if it was to cement their famous friendship, rosol wouldn't want to play on the helipad with the nadal without carrying a parachute on his back... bumps can be lethal there !
(... and would carlos bernardes dare to climb on the chair ?)

this all makes a great view, great sightings... but they sure could make it less wasteful and threat-looking.

Finally, some wise guys talking.:)

None of us get anything out of any friendships between the players. Federer owns so many players. I remember watching him beat Delpo for the 10th straight time, during which the puppet-head said that they practice a lot together! Delpo, get the funck away from him, daaa. Have dinner with him if you want to indulge a bromance... or a long, hot soapy shower. Eventually, he finally beat him, but...

Can anyone see someone as egocentric as Rog buddy-up with someone who "keeps stealing [his] titles", and is such a arrogant hump, like Jokeritch?!

Uncle Know-it-all Annacone is on TC this very minute "defending" his roger over the Becker book quote. Roger's response was "why is my childhood idol(!) picking on me!" Not even liar enough to deny it, just deflect.

Other than THAT, I like him.
