pros and socks

hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and just wanted to ask a question that's been bugging me. i don't see a lot of pros wearing socks like the Nike Elites or the adidas team speeds. how come? they're really great socks and very comfortable! sorry if this has already been asked and if this is a bad question. thank you!

I couldn't tell you, as I like wearing Nike Elite's when I play. I know Ryan Harrison has worn them in the past. My best guess is that it's a preference thing.

Isner wears them as well, but I'd say it's mostly Nike and adidas, because those socks are marketed as "Basketball" socks. I know that Rafa wears Nike "Tennis" socks which are more padded than the normal Dri-fit ones. I wear elites during the winter but I find they make my feet REALLY sweaty during the summer, so I just wear normal dri-fit socks

Elites have very little breathability atop the foot, that's one reason.

Thank you guys very much! And yeah the Elites aren't very breathable but I find the team speeds more so. Thank you for the replies

Pretty much all the decent guys I know use elites!

I think it's all about preference. I like the elites, but they get new socks for every grands slam and masters. So, I guess they don't need to go for the premium socks
