Pros and their racquets

Dunno if this question has ever been asked but....players like Roddick and Nadal who are still using the older model racquets like AeroPro Drive and Pure Drive Team Plus for Roddick.....if the consumer can not get these racquets new anymore, how much is left in the pros stockpile before they need to change racquets? Also if the consumer wants these racquets back...will they ever come out again, or must we wait for a limited edition racquet.

Manufacturers can continue making old model racquets for the pros for as long as they want to. They still have the molds. Head and Wilson are still making 10-20 year old models for their pros (with paintjobs over them).

If that's the case, do you think the public would still buy their favorite players racquet even though it is an old mold but new paint job as instead of a so called new technology racquet with a new paint job? If the Babolat Team Plus with a new paint job is what Roddick is using now...I'll take that over a PDR which he is not using at all anyday.

i challenged this point in my own post a week ago.

drakule raised a valid point. unless new technology comes every year claiming to be better than the last, there is no incentive for change.
