not sure sorry, loved their game style though. Check out this gem, Wilson Spin effect prototype from back in the day

So this frame was never sold? Or the same mould was sold with a different pattern?

Such thick string. Maybe 15G? Geeze that stuff is thick.

Custom string pattern, for extra spin with gut because this was before polys were popular.

For those Who don't know him, he was a brazilian player, 4th place at Atlanta Olympics, semi-finalist at Roland Garros 1999, and pan-american 2003 Gold medallist, beating Marcelo Rios in final.

You bet. Had him on my list. Although, I am not sure what pattern he uses. I have counted 16x18

A few more to those already identified within the thread includes:

Arguably some debate as to whether 'at any time' he actually ever swung a 'true 6.1' or if they were always 6.0's with 6.1 paintjobs, is the great Wilson ambassador Stefan Edberg who initially endorsed the early marketing of the 1st iteration of the Pro Staff Classic 6.1

The late, great Tim Gullikson
Tom Gullikson
Magnus Norman
Sjeng Schalken
Andreas Vinciguerra
Markus Hantschk
Andrew Ilie
Francisco Clavet

Other former British players
Arvind Parmer
Jeremy Bates
Chris Bailey
Barry Cowen
Andrew Foster

I'm sure there's still many more to follow.

Isn't the only pro using an actual 97 zimonijc

Fed obviously, Dimitrov was, Kokkinakis for the Olympics, Zhang Shuai. There are probably some more below 100, I wouldn't be surprised to see more in the future as players that are still developing come into their own.

Just witnessed an all 6.1 95 fifth rubber with Evans in the 97 PJ and Mayer in the FST 95 PJ. FST is the nicest 6.1 95 PJ to date, it also prevailed with del potro and Mayer.

Fantastic. Crazy Wilson is making paintjobs for low-level pros like Rublev

Apparently even in the early days of the "pro room" Wilson offered a lot of customisation for lower ranked players and even juniors. Just read about it the other day. Everything from custom drill patterns to cosmetics. It surprised me, too.

Imo, it's not crazy at all. 18 year old Russian, top 200, #NextGen ... Why wouldn't they get their hands on any potential top player from a major market (assuming Russia is one)?

Secondly, no* ATP pro plays the PS97, or any of the off-the-shelf versions anymore. They did with the 6.1 95 line, which baffles the mind why that line got discontinued to the advantage of the PS line which nobody uses* :)

* except one (?)

To ease your baffled mind, the pro staff name is highly marketable. Golf players know pro staff, Sport Illustrated readers saw Sampras with one, pretty much anyone who breathed air in the 90's.

From a marketing perspective Wilson 6 1 95 16 18 is a hard sell, it reads like a barcode. I wish they'd just renamed it to something people would buy like the "Ultra-Winner-Hammer" or "Burn FST 95A" and let us keep on carrying on.

It is a little barcode-like. But at least call it something cool that pays tribute to it's lineage:

Wilson Super 6.1
Wilson 95 Pro
Wilson 95 Tour
Wilson 6.1 DPA (Del Potro Auto)

Wilson 95 tour is already taken by the pro open series. So my suggestion would be the Wilson Burn FST 95 Classic/ FST 95A. I like the implementation of classic or Signature in the name. So if they rename it the burn FST Classic or Del Potro Autograph and give it the FST paintjob I will make it rain cash on @Wilson Official

The Wilson Tour was not affiliated with the Pro Open series. The Wilson Tour 95 was a popular mould used by Justine Henin, Lindsey Davenport, and Kei Nishikori (still uses this mould in a S pattern). I think that moniker was cool, it made the Tour line seem more advanced than it actually was. The Wilson 6.1 Tour 95 sounds pretty to cool to me:

I think the FST shouldn't be included as it pertains to the beam shape and mould that a 6.1 95 doesn't have. The fast speed tech is also a gimmick, in my opinion. I have demoed all of the FST frames. Another gimmick on it's way out IMO

The Tour 95 is an orphan of the Hammer. Hyper Hammer 5.2 > nTour 95 > kTour 95 ... There were plenty of other wilsons that used the tour name, like the Prostaff Tour 95, KBlade Tour, KPro Tour, BLX Pro Tour, Kobra Tour...

As far as naming I just threw out 'Ultra Winner-Hammer' as it sounds absurd, and Burn FST 95A since thats the text on Delpo's frame. My thought was call it anything, just sell it. Paint it pink and call it Susan G. Komen and I'll bring the spray paint.

Nishikori is still 16x20 btw

I like the Hammer tribute. I agree - call it anything - just sell it!

Played with my K factor 6.1 today as wrist was hurting with all the racquets I have in the bag.Racquet stiffness says 69 and my wrist feels great even after good two hours hit.Weight at 350grms and SW 340 but it's so easy to swing this one compared to my weighed up ProStaff97 at 340 grms.

Sometimes wonder why I even play with other racquets :)

I understand you. This is what good old quality is about. Sometimes I think why I continue to buy other racquets.
