pro's pro challenger 1 vs premium stringer 3600

Hi,

I'm considering buying either the pro's pro Challenger 1 with a wise 2086 or a Penta Premium 3600 pre-fitted with a wise. Pricewise there isn't much difference so I wonder which one of these would be the better buy? Which is the better quality and least hassle?

Thanks

Machines look identical with fixed clamps and multiple support. Looks like they were made in the same factory under different labels. Which one has the better warranty or guarantee? What type of supports for the frame? K or V shaped? Any reviews? Any complaints? Availability of parts? Customer service? I would try to obtain those answers before deciding.

Retro fitted with WISE 2086 => used machines? How old are the WISE(s)?

No they are not identical, you can clearly see that it is different parts? Same kind of parts yes, but not the same.

Penta Premium stringers have a good rep AFAIK, PP's not so much. I bought my second stringing machine a few weeks ago, and went with Gamma again. A Pro's Pro with similar features was half the price, but I just don't trust the brand enough to take the plunge.

I would either go with the Penta, or buy a Gamma, Alpha or Prince and add the Wise later if needed. In Sweden you also have Tyger AFAIK, also worth a look IMO.

Buy a machine with the best clamping system in its class. Add Wise if you still have the money and you do enough frames to justify it.

The most important part of a stringing machine is the clamping system, next the racket support and only then the tensioner.
