Pro's Pro Strings!?

I I have also strung BO for other people and they like it too. It really is a good string, and at about $2 per string job it's pretty hard to beat!
I love Black Out 1.24mm but for a reasonably heavy hitter it probably needs to be restrung after every 2 to 3 hours of use. It's great if one has five or six racquets in the bag and a Stringing machine.

Anyone tried Nano Vendetta and can make a comparison with another string on the market? What does it most resemble?
I got nano vendetta recently, slick, round silver poly, n9thing too exiting, but it will work in cross poly situation for me

interceptor, i tried a set, similar situation, slick, low friction round string,, both comfortable, cool color
good snapback properties, not sure about spin, ok for a round poly, but nothing stood out to me..

Could you do a comparison with all the Pro's Pro strings you have used? Nano Vendetta and Interceptor were comfortable and soft you say?

Thats alot of string "ive used", ive mentioned alot of them on this thread, might wanna goback and read through it.., but ill try to remember to do a comperason on vendetta and nano.vendetta, soon..
as far as interceptor goes, I remember it was a comfortable poly, played like a round, slick, poly should, its been a few months back, pretty soon after it arrived..

You peaked my curiosity,
soo... today I played side by side pp.vendetta, and pp.vendetta.nano
Both on similar rakets. Wil.blade.98 16/19
both strung @44lbs, both 1.25mm 17g
pp.vendetta army green color
pp.vendetta.nano silver color

while stringing, both felt same, stiff, polys, but pp.vendetta had a bit more friction,, squeeked abit while fanning.. no squueking from the nano version.

while playing, diff. is notisable right away
pp.vendetta is crisper
pp.vendetta.nano, softer, but crisp also, surpricing good control, comfortable

it was a bit of a windy day, balls could have gone stray, but both these string sent the ball pretty much where I was sending them,, no big notisable directional issues
I do like softer string, so pp.vendetta.nano gets my vote today,,
Although ppl who like babo.rpm would find the crispness pp.vendetta surprisingly similar,, just my opinion..

Right now I am using soft polys and wanna try Pro's Pro, I have also used Volkl Cyclone.

took these out for a hit again,,
I kept going back to the pp.vendetta
the annoying crisp feel is gone, and now your left with a nice solid feel, with good tension control..
nano vendetta was softer, infact a bit too soft at times..
ill need to increase tension by 3lbs next time,, it still feelt good, and snapback was evident;
both strings are a good ROUND string option for open pattern rakets, like 16/19 or spin effect rakets..

Had chance to play with PP Nano Vendetta. To the touch, Nano Vendetta is firmer, slick, and fairly easy to string. Playing, Nano Vendetta is crisp, comfort level is good but may have to update after using it longer. Nothing really stood out.

@NuBas
you mentioned "slick", I agree, good snapback properties,,
it reminds me of wilson.revolve,,
if pp. Comes out with a 5 sided nano.black.out, then youll have a comperable one to wilson.revolve.spin..

@NuBas @1HBHfanatic

Have you tried Red Devil or Concept? And able to compare to Baseline/NanoVendetta?
Depending on how I like Nano Vendetta then I will try others. I'm interested in their softer polys like Interceptor, Intense Heat, and maybe Hexaspin.
Nano Vendetta (white) looks and has properties like a pulled candy cane. It has a sheen and shiny coating to it which makes it "slick" and bit firmer,.

Pp.red.devil is soft, slick, I use for crosses with multi mains, it stretches too much at high tension, but its very comfortable as a full bed

pp.concept,, not a fan, its firmer, dead feeling to me, I could say it acts like a first.gen.copoly (reminds me of babolat.hurricane).. some ppl like it, im not one of them,,

Pp.nano.vendetta is right in the middle of these 2 above,, and very comfortable... I did a comperason a few posts back

Havent tried isospeed strings..

Update on PPNV, its already notching or eating into each other after only 2 sessions. My guess is durability is gonna be poor which is a bummer.

just tried a few multis from pros pro
side by side comperason
just 1 day so far of baseline and volleys

all strung at 57lbs on 18/20 pattern, similar rakets
full bed multis
i am wanting to see how they moved and how quickly,,

pp.hitech.multifiber 1.30mm
pp.hot.stuff 1.30mm
pp.gutex.ultra 1.30mm
pp.superior.gut 1.32mm

pp.hitech and pp.hot.stuff looked alike, pinkish in color, smelled like chemical,
pp.hotstuff smelled stronger, and surprisingly enough it also looked and smelled like polyfibre.gutex, im almost convinced that its the same string
anyway, hitech and hot.stuff both are soft, hotstuff is softer
both strung easy, both felt about the same
the bad= both, hitech and hotstuff started moving after a few minutes of hitting,
i was hoping pp.hotstuff was a better string, and it did feel better than hitech, but just in the softer feel aspect, i dont like either due to how fast they started to move; and remeber its a 18/20 pattern (wilson.k.blade.tour), so you can just imagine what it would move like on a 16/19 open pattern racquet, not good, not a fan..

p.p.gutex.ultra did not move at first and/or was so minimal that i did not have to adjust, if any; pp.gutex.ultra is normally white/cream, yellowish in color at 16g, but ive ordered 17g and got the salmon.pink color{which im not liking, moves too much); anyway this string stretches most of all, even though its said to be pre-stretched,,

pp.superior.gut also did not move toomuch, slight movement towards the end, and/or about the same as pp.gutex.ultra; pp.superior.gut is low power multi, got a bit softer towards end of hit, but i kept going back to this racket after trying all the others,,
its white/pearl in color; no funny noticeable annoying smell, i like it!, its 1of3 pp.multis i like so far (pp.gutex, pp.pioneer, pp.superior.gut),

can anyone else comment on similar findings??

What are your thoughts on strategem 8?
I've been considering Strategem 8 as an alternative to Volkl Cyclone. But buying a couple of sets is expensive and I don't want to get a Reel unless I know it would work well.

If it is anything like Black Out, it would probably be a great string for a couple of hours but then fall off a cliff. On that basis, the 5 to 6 hours of decent playability I get out of Volkl Cyclone justifies the extra string cost on the basis of restringing cost and time savings.

Obviously all of these Pros Pro strings have great value, but in your experience which are the softer strings of the bunch?

For reference, I’ve used / kept in stock: Interceptor, Blackout (for a very long time), Red Devil, and Hexaspin. Been having some elbow / shoulder pain lately, and I feel my game really suffers if/when I move away from poly. In terms of my game - I like to hit deep heavy balls from the forehand wing, with a considerably flatter backhand. I move to net frequently (and I play competitive doubles), and I hit a flat first serve, and a loopy second serve kicker.

While I have a stringer at home, I do care to have a string that maintains tension at least decently well, as I work long hours and prefer to spend my weekends with family and friends.

I’d appreciate any string / string combo insights you might have! I actually strung up a frame of Red Devil (M) and Hexaspin (X) last night, so I’m interested in seeing if the Hexaspin will stiffen up / lower the power of the Red Devil as a cross string.

I've recently bought a reel of Lethal 8 (8 sided twisted black poly). Stringing up at 44lbs and 41lbs in a couple of my Mantis Pro 295's. Very impressed with it, a little softer than BO, plays nicely, the feel is a bit like Signum Pro Tornado. Tension maintenance is very good, lost 6lbs over a month playing 3 times a week (41 down to 35, actually plays superbly at 35!).

Istring super soft is the softest poly they have.

just tried a few multis from pros pro

I''m goint to order almost every multi (and dyna power ^^) pro's pro got in their line-up for hybrid with multi mains :D

I wonder if I should use Concept, Interceptor or any other pp poly for crosses though ^^ slick and smooth at least

Cant beat the price,, to try stuf out on your own..
concept is one of my least favorite polys from pros.pro.
interceptor and plus power are good imo..

Good luck on your search...

I did use Concept 1.28 once as cross string with a cheap sgut i had in closet for years. Now at first it felt very nice, but that decreased very fast. Also as full bed this particular sgut lasts only 1 match so it was no surprise. Today i use concept in mains at 22 or 23 kg with a more durable sgut as cross. This lasts quite long and gives a little more power than fullbed concept. I m interested if anyone has hybrided concept with another poly?

I was planning, but have not tried any pros pro multis yet. What are the best pros pro multis? Top 1 or 2 please. Anything comparable to Tecnifibre Multifeel?

I have used Gutex Ultra and Kingut. Both are very stretchy and arm friendly. They stretch so much that during stringing, my dropweight will make a full revolution with each pass. These two lose tension pretty quick, but are very soft. I have also used them in hybrid setups and they work well. My go-to multi is DynaPower, which is durable and comfortable. But like most PP strings, does not maintain tension very well.

It's kind of funny as you mention the names. According to the website, they have many of the same great characteristics and it's hard to choose a product based on their description. That is why I have purchased almost all of them in 12m lengths to try out on my own :)
What is your go to multi now?

Got it. And what would you recommend as a non-poo-ey pros pro poly that isnt too stiff?
Not sure I'm the most qualified to answer that since I haven't gone through that many of their offerings. Vendetta is pretty soft and was okay, much better than iSoft. But I have heard good things about Red Devil and Blackforce, neither of which I have tried. Some people say Hexaspin is soft, but I didn't find that to be the case at all.

I've heard good things about Kingut and Clay Court Plus. Might be a good starting point.
I've never tried Kingut, but the ClayCourt may be the worst-feeling string i've ever strung with. It is a completely dead feel, which i don't mind so much. but it has absolutely no power, unlike any string i've ever used.

Black Out mains and Concept crosses - someone tried that?
IME, Black Out works best as a full bed. I've tried various other Poly and Multi crosses with it but they all reduce the control potential and spin potential. The only thing positive about the multi hybrids is they seem to give a few extra hours of playability to the mains.

I'm talking about 1.24mm. The 1.28mm might be different.

Clay court plus is great for the money. With blackout it made a great hybrid (16 x19 tecnifibre t fight 320) that I was ripping through in prob 2-4 hours but at that price and as a home stringer it's a no brainer. Nearly through my 4th reel I think.

Thats my choice also, pp.bo/pp.bf
I like pp.hexaspin.TWIST fb better than with black.force on the cross,,,
for what ever reason, some strings feel better FB than in hybrids, 2me..
Out of curiosity what color do you use for Hexaspin twist? I used the Black in a FB once and it was horrible to me. I have a whole reel minus 40 feet
