The only feedback I got was that it was nothing like Stratagem 8. I know, not helpful :cautious:

well, ill be posting one soon ,,
I just got the reel today, could not pass up the 5% discount on the site
ill tag you when I get the review up!!

I also got ichiban.spin, 16g,
I strung that up on 3x of my h.radicals 46/44lbs,, im expecting that to feel nice!!??

Review of Strategem 10

Myself and a friend use it we both enjoy it a lot. He is a former UTR 12 in juniors and I played in college.

It does not do one thing spectacular, but it's a really good all around string and can compliment a wide range of playing styles. Strings move around quite a bit prior to breaking but it's overall a great string for the price.

just strung it up
"PROS PRO STRATEGEM 10"
no crazy coil memory, normal
acted rather stiff at first touch, but it stretches while under tension
I strung it on my yonex.vcore.tour.g 16/20 at 49/46lbs
no issues stringing
easy to weave for a poly
does not stretch like pp.red.devil, but there was a bit of stretch, little, so at higher tensions (high 50s, 60s), I think you would see a bit more stretching under tension
but for me it seems ok in the high 40s,, i also think that because of this the 17g i ordered is a bit thinner now, i also expect that a 16g version of this string would play more like a 17g poly, so thats not bad
i bounced the ball a bit after, feels good, comfortable at first impression
i still do not see/notice any "edges" (expecting to feel/see 10 of them),, at times i think i see some flat edges, but I'm not sure?!, if the edges are there, they are way too small for me to see for sure
it does feel round, seems to have very low string friction, so this string would work very well on a cross situation with any main IMO,,
play test to follow!!

Well the Big T description does say ”With a round profile, it compares very favorably to the softest co-polys on the market." So you're not crazy!

got a chance to finally play with this string (pp.strategem 10) this past friday
right away very comfortable for a poly
like @niketennispro mentioned, nothing stands out, its ajust a comfortable good feel poly
spin was good, power good, control was good
I was targeting my serves pretty well as expected,
the feel is like a round lux.alu.power but I would say the lux.alu.power would provably be a bit/tad crisper/solid
this string is pretty good for both mains and crosses
like i said, no notisable edges, so it can be crosses with multis with no issue

I strung this at my normal tension
I strung it on my yonex.vcore.tour.g 16/20 at 49/46lbs
next time I would string it up at same tension, since I know what to expect from this string
durability wise, it should hold for 3 weeks for me, anything less ill report back

Really depends on what you consider playable. Using a low tension combo of hexaspin twist 1.25 x intense heat 1.25 I played one till breaking just to see how long it would last and it didn't break till almost 4 weeks of playing daily. But I definitely didn't still have the playing characteristics I like from the combo, usually I switch it out every 10days to 2 weeks per racquet. Does he break the lux or just not like the change in playability?

Anyway I like that combo, I've also tried BO1.24xRD1.14 didn't last nearly as long though and I didn't get as much power as I wanted from the crosses, but it broke before it changed a ton.

So you just want it to last in the racquet and he'll adjust as it does, or is the goal to get something that doesn't really bag out? Because if the latter is say pp lasts about as long as any mainline string ime.

Many thanks for the suggestions - the Hexaspin x Heat combination added 200% of playing time to the string jobs I was referring to. A very nice mix too, seems to be quite easy on the arm.

What's a good string as a main for spin in a full bed that is not shaped? In a hybrid? I'd like to stay away from shaped string as when I

Currently playing with full bed Eruption and notice a huge gap on spin characteristics between it and NG in the mains. I know I know, NG and Eruption are like apples and oranges, just trying to find a unicorn.

So you want a poly/nylon or poly/poly, not shaped? Solinco Pro Stacked is a really nice cross string. It's a synthetic gut, but plays a little softer and with a little more feel. I have it in a racquet with Tour Bite Soft mains and I have high hopes for it. I haven't played it yet as it's the off season in New England.

Isnt this thread about Pros pro strings? Solinco strings are 3 to 4 times as expensive...
Letplaytennis whats a non shaped spin string from Pros pro so then there are 2 arguments not to choose Tourbite strings as good a spin string they might be.
Maybe letplaytennis could try Intense heat or Black force 1.19 as a mains in hybrid. They are both spin friendly. However Kudeta which has pimples could have some spin potential too. However i have no experience with it.
Somebody else has?

-I bought a reel of pp.kudeta,
-one of my good buys from pros pro!!
-its like a head.sonic.pro string, medium power, comfortable poly, not mushy, not crisp
-spin is good, not great "like a shaped poly", but good enough for a round poly
-the pimples you mentioned are barely noticeable (very small), but noticeable when you run your fingers through the string
-I liked the white color and the thickness I got, I don't regret it

Ok tnx interesting. Sonic pro is very soft isnt it? Could you compare Kudeta with other strings like Vendetta, Concept, Black force..?

currently have reels of cyclone power, eruption and lethal 5 (which I hate to string). I've read that Black Force and Red Devil stretch and move quite a bit after a few hours of play. So far, the best I like is Cyclone Power from the few PP strings I've tried.

Red Devil is stretchy and moves quite a bit. Very soft string and probably my least favorite out of the PP strings i've tried. (Eruption, Syn gut, Plus Power, Concept, )

I like the fact that both Eruption and Cyclone Power do NOT move much at all. I'd hate to hit with something that moves as much as a syn gut.

Anyone here possibly able to send me a sample of gutex ultra. Or another pp multi if there's other ones people prefer?

I can trade for some of the polys I have or just comp you shipping and stuff. Wanna try a set for a friend, but paying for a single set and shipping from -the pp American retailer- is just a little too pricey with shipping tacked on.

Can anyone give me a review of Kingut 1.30 for use as a cross for poly mains? I would use it on Dunlop MuscleWeave 200G and Biomimetic 200 racquets. For poly mains I have Topspin Cyber Flash silver and red 1.25 and Pro's Pro Black Force 1.14 and Plus Power 1.23. Mostly I've used Gutex Ultra 1.30, but now I'm finding it too plush and I'm looking for a more crisp feeling cross string.

Specifically, does Kingut have a slippery enough coating for use as a cross string? How is it in a full bed?

Are there any Pro's Pro strings that are softer or good for someone with shoulder issues?
i have used Red Devil 17g (round) and Eruption 17g (shaped) at low tension and they were nice for the arm/shoulder... i think they are the softer options in the PP offerings
i have Black Out in 1.24mm, not used myself, but my mate said it was nice

If you want poly
Intense Heat, hexaspin twist, and red devil are all quite soft (personally liked HTxIH in the low 40s)

If you want as soft as possible look at their multis

Just strung up gutex ultra and heximulti for a friend and they were some of the softest strings I've strung

Multi Gutex Ultra 1.30 is a very soft Pro's Pro string.
I use it as my standard strins for the mains with poly crosses.
Imho, shoulder issues have nothing to do with the strings...
Big static weight is usually the main reason for shoulder issues.

(Or very low static weight causing overswinging)

(But yeah, rarely string based ime)

Red Devil 1.19 was my favorite until I switched to Wilson Steam 99S, had to change to 1.24. I'm using Yonex VCP97 now, testing strings again as my reel is almost done. Here's what I'm trying:
Red Devil 1.19
Black Force 1.24
Eruption 1.24
Interceptor 1.24

I'm not a crazy string breaker with these racquets so I don't worry about durability. I may be able to go to an even thinner gauge (hence the RD 1.19 to try again).

I really like the soft, slick poly. Not super big into the shaped strings, though not opposed either. Any other recommendation to try before I buy my next reel?

Hit for about 90 minutes tonight, switching between Black Force 1.24 and Eruption 1.24, both freshly strung at 45#. First impressions are that I prefer the Black Force. Both were comfortable, but BF was sliding more, getting noticeably more bite/spin. Will hit again on Sunday. Interested to see how the strings change after settling.

Hit again. Decided I'm not a fan of the Eruption but still liked the Black Force. I'm not sure if I can tell any difference between Black Force and Red Devil besides the color. Anyone have any insight into any differences between the two?

i have pro's pro kinggut in the mains of a head fxp radical os atm. i've hit with this racquet about 3 times (2 of those were very brief) and i am noticing some significant notching on the mains (so much so in places that i can't adjust the strings). i don't expect these strings to last long. kinggut is allegedly one of the softest strings they make so i didn't expect to get 24 months out of it but i likewise didn't expect this degree of sawing to take place. they feel like a multi and have decent playability.

Does anyone know if intense heat has been discontinued or just rebranded as another name?

I can still find it some places but it looks like rd.uk no longer carries it:cry:

BF is consistent over a broader range of tensions. RD was a lot more tension sensitive for me. They are both great for use as cross strings. BF is also good as a main. RD is also decent as a full bed. I use BF 1.14 and RD 1.19.

Multi Hex mains Red Devil crosses review.

Couldn't break volkl cyclone 17 in 3 weeks and decided maybe I wasn't a string breaker.

This setup was very nice! pretty good spin, soft, strung 54x49

After 2 hours (a set of singles and some drilling) my pride as a string breaker has been restored. Fun while it lasted though. Recommend for people who want a nice soft setup and don't hit that hard or can restring often.

I'm a simple guy, string full bed of poly around #45. Between BF and RD, both at 1.19, which do you think lasts longer?

-BF will last longer
-RD will stretch and break like cheap plastic, but it will feel good until it does :)
-i like red.devil a lot (part of my inventory), but i cant play with anything thinner than 17lg 1.24mm
-even 16g red devil feels good/soft, and the color is great for a full bed of poly
-BF is a bit firmer and should last a bit longer
-i combine pp/blackout.mains/pp.blackforce.crosses (y)

Thanks. How do you think BF 1.19 would compare to RD 1.24 for durability? I found BF to stretch a lot when stringing, very similar to RD. Again, my baseline comparator is RD 1.24 at #45. I know exactly what to expect out of it as I've been using that for years now.

Finally got a chance to test PP Kingut. I used it as mains with Polystar Classic 1.25 (slick and oldschool) as cross at tension 24/22 kg

First thing that came up my mind was inconsistent response. I never felt 100 % comfortable. Soft ... yes, but too mushy. As soon as I started to play a tad aggressive, everything won't loose. Very little control and in terms for power: other multis are better.
It's just not a string for me,.
Only good thing about it: after 2h of baseline hitting, little sign of notching (for a multi).

Compared to other PP multis (Superior Gut, Gutex): softer, durable (hmm I broke Gutex within 30 min once) but in every other category I consider it worse.

I haven't play PP Multifibre in a while (and not in a hybrid as far as I remember) but will revisit it ... or just stick with syn gut mains :p

it is playing nicely on newly setup 2013 Blade 98 18x20 and 2013 Pure Strike 98 16x19. I think it will stay with it for a while. Will get different colours to see if they play differently.

Sorry. I am useless with reviews. I have only used kinggut once and GU a few times. Both for me felt very springy/soft. Couldn’t tell where the ball was going to go. Similar with the Hex Multi. The Torpedo is nicer but was a pain to string. It feels abit stiffer but not poly stiff.

I think this will depend on how much you pre stretch before clamping. I let mine stretch a fair amount before clamping and don't get a lot of movement (other than snap when hitting). I don't find I have to straighten the string much with both RD and BF.
