did you ever get feedback on pros.pro.strategem.10??
The only feedback I got was that it was nothing like Stratagem 8. I know, not helpful

well, ill be posting one soon ,,
I just got the reel today, could not pass up the 5% discount on the site
ill tag you when I get the review up!!
I also got ichiban.spin, 16g,
I strung that up on 3x of my h.radicals 46/44lbs,, im expecting that to feel nice!!??
@loosegroove @niketennispro
just strung it up
"PROS PRO STRATEGEM 10"
no crazy coil memory, normal
acted rather stiff at first touch, but it stretches while under tension
I strung it on my yonex.vcore.tour.g 16/20 at 49/46lbs
no issues stringing
easy to weave for a poly
does not stretch like pp.red.devil, but there was a bit of stretch, little, so at higher tensions (high 50s, 60s), I think you would see a bit more stretching under tension
but for me it seems ok in the high 40s,, i also think that because of this the 17g i ordered is a bit thinner now, i also expect that a 16g version of this string would play more like a 17g poly, so thats not bad
i bounced the ball a bit after, feels good, comfortable at first impression
i still do not see/notice any "edges" (expecting to feel/see 10 of them),, at times i think i see some flat edges, but I'm not sure?!, if the edges are there, they are way too small for me to see for sure
it does feel round, seems to have very low string friction, so this string would work very well on a cross situation with any main IMO,,
play test to follow!!
Really depends on what you consider playable. Using a low tension combo of hexaspin twist 1.25 x intense heat 1.25 I played one till breaking just to see how long it would last and it didn't break till almost 4 weeks of playing daily. But I definitely didn't still have the playing characteristics I like from the combo, usually I switch it out every 10days to 2 weeks per racquet. Does he break the lux or just not like the change in playability?
Anyway I like that combo, I've also tried BO1.24xRD1.14 didn't last nearly as long though and I didn't get as much power as I wanted from the crosses, but it broke before it changed a ton.
So you just want it to last in the racquet and he'll adjust as it does, or is the goal to get something that doesn't really bag out? Because if the latter is say pp lasts about as long as any mainline string ime.
So you want a poly/nylon or poly/poly, not shaped? Solinco Pro Stacked is a really nice cross string. It's a synthetic gut, but plays a little softer and with a little more feel. I have it in a racquet with Tour Bite Soft mains and I have high hopes for it. I haven't played it yet as it's the off season in New England. What's a good string as a main for spin in a full bed that is not shaped? In a hybrid? I'd like to stay away from shaped string as when I
Currently playing with full bed Eruption and notice a huge gap on spin characteristics between it and NG in the mains. I know I know, NG and Eruption are like apples and oranges, just trying to find a unicorn.
Isnt this thread about Pros pro strings? Solinco strings are 3 to 4 times as expensive...So you want a poly/nylon or poly/poly, not shaped? Solinco Pro Stacked is a really nice cross string. Ok tnx interesting. Sonic pro is very soft isnt it? Could you compare Kudeta with other strings like Vendetta, Concept, Black force..?@ron schaap
-I bought a reel of pp.kudeta,
-one of my good buys from pros pro!!
-its like a head.sonic.pro string, medium power, comfortable poly, not mushy, not crisp
-spin is good, not great "like a shaped poly", but good enough for a round poly
-the pimples you mentioned are barely noticeable (very small), but noticeable when you run your fingers through the string
-I liked the white color and the thickness I got, I don't regret it
currently have reels of cyclone power, eruption and lethal 5 (which I hate to string). I've read that Black Force and Red Devil stretch and move quite a bit after a few hours of play. So far, the best I like is Cyclone Power from the few PP strings I've tried.
Got someone to send me some, thanks y'allAnyone here possibly able to send me a sample of gutex ultra. Or another pp multi if there's other ones people prefer?
I can trade for some of the polys I have or just comp you shipping and stuff. Wanna try a set for a friend, but paying for a single set and shipping from -the pp American retailer- is just a little too pricey with shipping tacked on.
i have used Red Devil 17g (round) and Eruption 17g (shaped) at low tension and they were nice for the arm/shoulder... i think they are the softer options in the PP offeringsAre there any Pro's Pro strings that are softer or good for someone with shoulder issues?
If you want polyAre there any Pro's Pro strings that are softer or good for someone with shoulder issues?
Can anyone give me a review of Kingut 1.30 for use as a cross for poly mains? I would use it on Dunlop MuscleWeave 200G and Biomimetic 200 racquets. For poly mains I have Topspin Cyber Flash silver and red 1.25 and Pro's Pro Black Force 1.14 and Plus Power 1.23. Mostly I've used Gutex Ultra 1.30, but now I'm finding it too plush and I'm looking for a more crisp feeling cross string.
Specifically, does Kingut have a slippery enough coating for use as a cross string? How is it in a full bed?
Multi Gutex Ultra 1.30 is a very soft Pro's Pro string. Are there any Pro's Pro strings that are softer or good for someone with shoulder issues?
(Or very low static weight causing overswinging)Multi Gutex Ultra 1.30 is a very soft Pro's Pro string.
I use it as my standard strins for the mains with poly crosses.
Imho, shoulder issues have nothing to do with the strings...
Big static weight is usually the main reason for shoulder issues.
Red Devil 1.19 was my favorite until I switched to Wilson Steam 99S, had to change to 1.24. I'm using Yonex VCP97 now, testing strings again as my reel is almost done. Here's what I'm trying:
Red Devil 1.19
Black Force 1.24
Eruption 1.24
Interceptor 1.24
I'm not a crazy string breaker with these racquets so I don't worry about durability. I may be able to go to an even thinner gauge (hence the RD 1.19 to try again).
I really like the soft, slick poly. Not super big into the shaped strings, though not opposed either. Any other recommendation to try before I buy my next reel?
Hit again. Decided I'm not a fan of the Eruption but still liked the Black Force. I'm not sure if I can tell any difference between Black Force and Red Devil besides the color. Anyone have any insight into any differences between the two?Hit for about 90 minutes tonight, switching between Black Force 1.24 and Eruption 1.24, both freshly strung at 45#. First impressions are that I prefer the Black Force. Both were comfortable, but BF was sliding more, getting noticeably more bite/spin. Will hit again on Sunday. Interested to see how the strings change after settling.
Red devil is a round poly, blackout is pentagonalHit again. Decided I'm not a fan of the Eruption but still liked the Black Force. I'm not sure if I can tell any difference between Black Force and Red Devil besides the color. Anyone have any insight into any differences between the two?
Does anyone know if intense heat has been discontinued or just rebranded as another name?
I can still find it some places but it looks like rd.uk no longer carries it
-ive come to suspect that's the case, "re-branding"
-we simply do not know!!
-I wish they would stop playing that game!,
-more people would like their stuff, if they could rely on similar results everytime
BF is consistent over a broader range of tensions. RD was a lot more tension sensitive for me. They are both great for use as cross strings. BF is also good as a main. RD is also decent as a full bed. I use BF 1.14 and RD 1.19.Hit again. Decided I'm not a fan of the Eruption but still liked the Black Force. I'm a simple guy, string full bed of poly around #45. Between BF and RD, both at 1.19, which do you think lasts longer?BF is consistent over a broader range of tensions. ThanksRD is a little gummy. BF is more dead, but still dry feeling.
Can you give me a review on Kingut compared to Gutex Ultra? I would use it in the crosses on a Biomimetic 200 or a MuscleWeave 200G. Both are 95" 344g 7.5HL. Thank you.The PP multi are too soft for my liking. After a few setups, I have decided to go back to the Syn Gut 1.30.
it is playing nicely on newly setup 2013 Blade 98 18x20 and 2013 Pure Strike 98 16x19. I think it will stay with it for a while. Will get different colours to see if they play differently.
Sorry. I am useless with reviews. I have only used kinggut once and GU a few times. Both for me felt very springy/soft. Couldn’t tell where the ball was going to go. Similar with the Hex Multi. The Torpedo is nicer but was a pain to string. It feels abit stiffer but not poly stiff. Can you give me a review on Kingut compared to Gutex Ultra? Thanks. I've used Gutex Ultra a lot. And I have a set of Kingut on the way. So I guess I'll be figuring it out for myself. Thanks for your reply.Sorry. I am useless with reviews. I think this will depend on how much you pre stretch before clamping. I let mine stretch a fair amount before clamping and don't get a lot of movement (other than snap when hitting). I don't find I have to straighten the string much with both RD and BF.currently have reels of cyclone power, eruption and lethal 5 (which I hate to string).
