Curious to see if anyone has any stringing information for any pro out there. Is there a log that someone has access to from any point in 2014? Always curious to see what those guys are using.
So cross strings are the same tension?
Does anyone know what the purpose would be to hybrid the 2 Luxilon's together? I rarely see this happening with the Pro's.
I'm going to give his exact hybrid a test run this week. Luxilon ALU in the mains at 52 and Luxilon ALU Feel at 50.
Another thing I just noticed about the Verdasco strng job is the "Due by" dates. 2 of the racquets were due the next day.
If I were a pro and had the luxury of having a stringer on-tap as it were, I would have all my racquets strung on the day, and wouldn't leave 24 hours for the poly to deaden somewhat, although perhaps that's what he was going for.
The reason for wanting to string it a day in advance is so the strings can settle in. If you play with the strings right after it comes off the stringer, it plays actually a tad stiffer and tighter than what your requested tension.
Interesting that these pros always seem to go lower on the crosses.
Crosses are shorter, therefore in need of less tension to feel identical to mains
But there's also notable reduction in tension when pulling crosses due to the friction against the mains.
there isnt no friction anymore when when the tension reaches a balance point. Then the tension is just what it should be. The friction of the mains with crosses works both way you know!
