Pros VS. Joes...And Robby Ginepri?

Hey all. I was eating dinner just a few minutes ago and was watching Pros VS. Joes--season 1, I assume, with season 2 to start next week. For those that don't know, Pros VS. Joes comically pits pro athletes against regular guys in their respective sports. For more info, go here:

In any case, they had a preview for the upcoming season and I briefly saw someone hitting a tennis serve with a Babolat racket. Thanks to the power of TIVO, I slow-motioned it down and was pleasently suprised to see Robby Ginepri was the one serving. Although I know of no official announcement, I would assume with great certainty that Ginepri will be playing against some average recreational players.

Which, bring me to the point of posting this. After seeing post after post of "how would a 3.0/4.0 match up against a pro", the question will (hopefully) at last be answered. Tune in or check your listings for more info.

Yeah. I was watching too. Some of these pros are a bit washed up. I mean, has Herschel Walker done anything in the last 20 years? But it was funny to watch Alexi Lalas toy with the Joes. Most of them, however, looked as if they've never been outside the exercise rooms of their condos. Some could barely throw off a baseball mound, and, if they somehow managed to, threw lollipops.

There was an episode of "The Apprentice" a few seasons back, when the winning team got to hit with John McEnroe and Anna Kournikova. Anna challenged one of the guys to return her serve, which, let's face it, isn't Andy Roddick's. Anyway, the fellow couldn't get a racquet on any of them, let alone return one. He blamed it on the spins.

The show might been interesting if it wasn't a farce. Most of the time it's just one big joke that gets less funnier as time(tears) goes by.

They should find some average dudes who at least are dedicated to sport in their spare time.

Joe Average, haha, I saw a bit of that ep. That guy was a joke too, making lame ass excuses for his utter lack of athletic ability and for thinking he had a prayer with Anna K.
