Which pros past and present used the Pure Drive and what versions do/did they use?

For instance Fognini uses the original Pure Drive pre woofer

the unknighted Andy used a plus version.
Not really familiar with anyone else on the men’s side. That said I think this newest 2021 one is a very very workable racquet.

Fognini, Jordan Thompson, Clijsters, Kenin, Pliskova, Muguruza, Moya (Soft Drive), Feli Lopez before Wilson switch... many others over the years but it is definitely less than it used to be

Do you know which ones they actually use?

Clijsters used the Pure Drive Team from around 01/02 I think (same as Lopez) but may have switched to the GT at some point, think Jordan Thompson uses the 2012/2013 model there’s pics on this forum though, not sure on the others

IIRC Errani uses a retail 2012 "+" model. Errani has never been sponsored by Babolat.
Cibulkova used the 2015 model. Cibulkova also played without a contract at first.

Pliskova uses an old version. Vondrousova used to use the 2015 paint job too

Pure Drive used to have such a massive following until people realized that it was wrecking their arms and shoulders over time. Lots of WTA pros (Marion Bartoli, Shuai Peng, Amanda Anisimova, Tatjana Maria) used a PD at the start of their careers but later switched to softer frames.

Li Na, Ymer, Donskoy, and Duckworth as well…

Edit: Radwanska w/ the PD lite IIRC…

Looks like the 2006 Cortex version. Interestingly I think he used to use the Roddick version of that racquet during his playing days but that’s the regular one or at least painted like it.

I can still remember when Ljubicic switched from the Pure Drive after Head made a play for him and gave him the royal treatment. He spent about a week with Head testing out new racquets before deciding on the Head Extreme, which was of course very similar to the Pure Drive. He said he liked the "easy power". He used very similar specs to Fognini, bumping up the swingweight to about 360.
