PS 6.5 85 vs. nCode Tour 90

I am just wondering what people have to say in comparing these two rackets.
I currently use an nCode 6.1 95, but I feel it has a bit too much power for my preference. I also own a PS 6.0 85, and I love the feel, control, and spin it provides. I just don't like the extremely small head. I am considering trading my POG for an nCode Tour 90 (this is my demo system). Does the nCode Tour 90 get as much spin as the PS 6.0 85, and is it as solid and stable? The reviews on TW indicate that the PS 6.0 85 rates significantly better in every area that I want, it's just a little too small.

the numerical ratings for rackets on TW playtests don't mean anything. it's never consistent.

as for the n6.1 tour 90...it's very solid and stable and has pretty good spin potential, but doesnt have much feel at all. it's pretty muted and has a lot of power for a midsize frame.

Sounds like you have a newer version of the 6.0 85. I have an early China version and topspin is harder because it's stiffer and heavier(but this also makes it more stable and have a larger sweetspot).

I've tried the nCode Tour 90 a couple of times and it's an alright racquet, I suppose, but I find control lacking for some reason. It also feels disjointed like some parts of the racquet contain more mass than others. 6.0 85 is one piece of solid rock.

aside: if you have the opportinity, try the Yonex RDS001 90. It's closer to the 6.0 85 than the nCode is, IMHO.

I couldn't volley or serve with the ncode tour 90, but my groundstrokes did have a improvement. I eventually switched back to the 6.0 85 because of my serve.

haha...good advice. the rds001 has more spin and feel compared to the n6.1 tour 90.

I use a Prostaff 6.0 85. The only improvement I noticed when using the nCode Tour 90 is that I did not need to expend as much effort on the backhand slice. Other than that, the 6.0 was better or equal with regard to my other strokes.

i have an ncode tour 90. like it a lot. but im getting a ps 85 in honor of sampras, and to see if it better suits my game, so when it gets here ill let you know what i think.

From what i remember the 85 is solid on groundies real solid like not affected by hitting ball n 61 tour seems more flimsy and unstable but only a little, however both are too heavy for my serve.

i haven't tried the ps 6.0 85. but i like my n6.1 tour (asian version). at least i've found this racquet serve better than my rdx 500.
