PS 85 St. Vincent

How much would I expect to pay (or sell) for an early St. Vincent PS85 without the bumperguard in very good condition?

Imho everything over 250 bucks for a 9/10 St Vincent is a rip off.
For a 7/10 racquet I'd say 150 USD.

I've seen requests of 500, as well as 99. But they must be ignored. Unless the 500 one was an actual Sampras racquet that knows how to play by itself, like Excalibur. ;)

Why don't you go to the aution site and look through the completed list? You'll get the idea, I guess.

By the way, which is more sought after in general, bumpered or bumperless? Not that I'm interested in buying or anything but just curious.

I paid 350 for an almost mint condition 4 1/2 grip last fall off the auction site. Not new with frame center cardboard, but near perfect. FYI- mine is bumpered, but bumper less seems to be more rare

Nah. I've been happy with it. Been a dream of mine to get one, string it up the right way and see what it's like. There's a guy on the auction website that sells some good vintage rackets- kentonjames. Abcs of tennis also has some awesome vintage rackets

I believe the bumperless PS85s were made in Chicago and not St. Vincent. Check your local thrift stores..you may get lucky!
I've been looking for years and just recently found an early St. V PS85 this past weekend for $9.98

Both kentonjames. Abcs of tennis are excellent sellers that I have purchased rackets from and can recommend.
Seems like the demand and prices for ps85 sv have really come down so look hard and you might find a deal or get a dud if the pictures were not good.

I pulled it out last night to see if I might want to sell it. After looking it over i realized it's simply too nice to part with
