Which one should I get? The fact that the ps3 has a bluray dvd player is really making me lean into it. But how about the graphics and games?

depends really on which you like better and what games you like. price is yea you know but know if you can afford either its your choice. the 360 has a wider variety of games and graphics are the same. yes, PS3 has a blu-ray player and its ridiculous the picture. and then the factor of whether you like Microsoft or Sony better comes in too. If i had the money, I'd go with the PS3 because of the blu-ray and i'm just used to the controller. i don't like the xbox controller but i'm happy with my ps2.

I found the PS3 controller to be too light for my liking, bit strange I know lol.

I have a XBox 360 and i have to say that it is amazing. The graphics are stunning. Also I see a wider variety of game selection.

Mine broke on two separate occasions. That meant sending it in twice. The second time I sent it in, it was stolen. It took forever for them to process it once it went missing (stolen). Pains my ass.
On a lighter note, the games are awesome. Keep a lookout for Call of Duty 4 in a few days.

Later this month, Haze is coming out. FPS with an interesting story line (split factions of run-and-gun and strategy).
MGS4 will be the last game for the Metal Gear Solid saga. A must play for games.
Grand Turismo 5 is also coming out. The top rated driving simulation.
And my favorite, BigLittlePlanet! This is a new type of game I can't describe.

Internet is free. Projections of the X360 $50/year *5 years = additional $250 dollars.

I guess the 360 is the better one! A friend of mine has both, xbox and ps3 and all he plays is the 360! He told me that the ps3 will need some more time to bring out more games and fit those to the graphics! In my eyes the xbox is the betterone right now cuz of the variety and it is also cheaper! But the ps3 will be the better one in a year or so!

ok...i can probably finally reply in these kind of threads now. in my suite at school, we got a ps3, xbox 360 elite, and a wii hooked up to the same lcd hdtv.
ps3 - graphics are GORGEOUS. i love how it looks...it makes you delusional. of course it's got the bluray and improved controller with the L2 and R2 buttons as "triggers". however, as with most others, the controller did feel kinda light and the sixaxis feature obviously has problems (a lot of complaints along with it). as for the games, yeah, there isnt that many great games out...but from what i saw, most people get the system to buy certain games. and in the case of ps3, final fantasy and gran turismo stand out. price isnt much of an issue either since they're coming out w/ a $400 version.
xbox360 elite - evne though this is the top model for the xbox, ps3 is a bit better in graphics imo. with that said, xbox still portrays a very clear picture. online connection and whatnot is better on the xbox360 with all the different features imo. also, the controller is more ergonomic and more versatile than the ps3 in terms of hardware. on xbox, the only game that really stands out is halo3, which i didnt find to be all that amusing.
