Psp 3000

Ok i dont game that much so im not buying this for gaming but anyways its better than buying a dvd play so im really possibly buying this as a movie and internet surfing thing. anyways i wanted to know if anyone on here has one and if its any good or not. cheers

I have the first generation PSP.

It's a troublesome downloading and converting movies and then putting them on the memory stick.

The internet is slow. The cashe is small. The browser is sub-par.

It's good with all the features but compared to a laptop, or even a netbook, the PSP is a no go if you don't play games.

Get a netbook, ASUS Eee PC 1000HA, and buy a 2GB stick of RAM.

nah the 3000 is better thasn the 1000. you see the 3000 is aparently faster than the slim and light(2000) and the slim and light is already speedy..anyways i guess no one has the 3000. its ok its only been out for 51 days

I'm going to get a iPod touch 32GB for all my portable media.
if I'm lucky I'll get it for Xmas, but my backup plan is to work two jobs

yeah but an ipod touch s way over priced. is the screen bigger than a psp's??

nah, an inch smaller I think.
but if you are watching dvd's...the psp screen is still v.small.
I had an old psp, I never used it for music because it was massive. I never used it for movies because it was too small.
ended up selling it not long after getting it.

its ok for when watching a movie with one mate on a bus. i'm getting it for thats as im going italy next year...with school so me and my mates might want to watch something so thats why. my firend has a psp 1000 or 2000 dont know which version he has so we both will use our psp's. also its good for night time when we are in our hotel suits......they might have wifi aswell. does ipod touch have wifi???

yup, it's got wifi.

I think as a blunt comparison.
the iPod touch only really offers more internal storage memory.
navigation is personal preference.
you're paying a lot for the apple logo and the touch features.

The psp looks to be better for you, whereas the iPod would benefit me as I can use it in many ways at Uni as well as being small enough to fit in my pocket.
(also, I'm a sucker for cool gadgets!)

I'm afraid I can't say I'm a big fan of slashers.
I tend to stick to comedy with the occasional arty farty movie and action ones.
I really like the Coen Brothers films, own a couple of Guy Richie films.
Oh, and Simon Pegg is pretty brilliant, recently bought Hot Fuzz

Yea man Simon Pegg is a ledge! Run fat boy run was brilliant & his part in Mission Impossible 3 cracked me up... anyway I'm the same I tend to watch action/comedies & comedies like the Rush hour trilogy and stuff like Hitch, oh and Ghost town was pretty good
