A while ago I purchased an old Ektelon DE with the H upgrades. I had to buy a few parts to get it going again and it is working just fine.
However, when I pull the initial mains from the throat the handle on the crank interferes with the racquet mounting system making it impossible to pull the string straight back. The only two workarounds I have come up with is 1. to use the brake and then pull the main at an angle, or 2. pull a bit of tension straight back, then clamp, then pull a bit more, then clamp ... until desired tension is reached. Am I missing something obvious or is this just the way it is? Thanks in advance.
