Hello, everyone!
So, there’s been some cool reviews about this year’s release, the Babolat Pure Aero 98. On the other hand, the DR98 is maybe an all-timer.
I’d like to hear your opinions on this matchup. Which racquet you think is better and for what reasons?
Thanks for participating. :)

I have the newest aero 98, and a dr98 as well. I'd say the dr98 is softer with more feel, and the aero 98 has a sorta stiff hollow feel, yet has feel which I find strange. Only those that have used babolat understand what I mean

I understand what you mean. I’ve never played with the DR98, but I own a VCP 97 ‘21 and it feels much more solid and plush. The feel of the Aero is not nice, feels hollow indeed, even holding the racquet, almost plasticky. The performance is really good tho and you get used to the feel after a while.
How do you compare the performance?

I have both... and both are heavily modified (and about the same static weight).

The PA98 produces easier lift and a higher launch angle... while the DR98 has better comfort, can flatten out shots much better, and I produce more power with it (as the balls tend to move through the court more than with the PA98 - at least for me).

For now (as I have not finalized my PA98 setup, and I've had the DR98 for a lot longer), I have to give the nod to the DR98 as my preferred of the two.

UPDATE:

Changed the weight modifications on the PA98... and now the two racquets are closer together. The PA98 can now flatten the ball more easily (but still not as good as the DR98), and produces a bit more of a through-the-court ball, but I still prefer the feel of the DR98 more (feels plusher and cups the ball more). The PA98 is a fantastic racquet though... so both will be staying in my collection long-term.
