Pure Aero VS - natural gut

Tried it a couple of times. Found it a bit powerful (56 babolat tonic / 54 alu power). Lasted it about a month. Gut mains get pretty notched and stuck out of place near the end, affecting spin but still feel comfortable until they break.

Yes i have nat gut in one of my PAVS.
And it’s fine, nice hitting feeling of course but I prefer a full bed of poly in this frame.I strung it 26/25kg nat gut/Alu power.

AS powerful a racket as this is, some upward tension adjustment on the mains would probably help with the "too powerful/launchy" problem while still allowing the benefits of
gut (comfort, unrivalled pocketing, etc.)

My favorite setup right now after a lot of experimentation is Luxillon Gut 1.3 with Poly Tour Rev Purple 1.25 at 55/50 in EZ98. I'm going to try in the Vcore line soon. I've found the power in Luxillon to be much controlled and consistent. VS is magical stuff, I've used extensively but I just haven't been able to find the consistency yet to tame down the launch for my stroke. VS. is amazing at 60lb+ for a couple sessions but then I start spraying balls again that should go in. I don't know if it's more prone to notch than Luxillon or Lux is just firmer or what...

I have not. A week? lol. Was it 1.30mm gauge? What did you use in the cross? What tension?
I got the velocity on sale and gave it a try with a kirschbaum flash (round poly) cross. Same 56/54 pounds. I liked it a lot but yeah it lasted a week (probably 10-12 hours on court). I can't break a full bed of poly but hybrids go pretty quick. Have you tried a gut hybrid before?

I used to do the Volkl Psycho hybrid a while ago.
