What a nice frame this is, stumbled upon this a few weeks ago whilst my bats were in for stringing, borrowed one for a week. Demo was 333g strung, had 3 available to buy in L3 weighing from 326 - 342g!! Anyone else using one of these?

Yes, I have one and use it on and off. Have lead on mine to up the sw. As you suggest the QC is somewhat variable and it depends a lot on what you get as to how they play. I have a good one which is pretty much on spec but I still add lead at 12 as it is a little low powered in stock form.

PC is one of the best Babolats that doesn't get the props like the others...
If you like the PC, you'll love the Prince TT95

Found the pure control tour had more power than the prince 95 textreme and bigger sweetspot

Loved the feel of the Pure Control Tour. I could hit a nice clean ball with it when just rallying with partners. When it came to match time though it just didn't have enough free power to get me out of trouble when out of position. My balls were landing short. Great stick though.

Great racket, but it is low powered. This is not due to any structural fault, it's simply low swing weight. Adding some lead around mid and top loop really brings out the power and comfort.

PC is 16x20

Yes it is. I was thinking of my PS97 which I also want to try with low tension poly. A 16x20 with a fairly tight centre should not be too bouncy strung low. I much prefer the feel to a boardy 50+ tension poly.

Took one that weighs 336g, came pre strung with excel, plan to use full bed of poly at 52lbs any recommendations? Looking for a poly with decent power.

Alu Power 16L feels pretty good in it...but at $18 a set Luxilon can go ef itself. Ridiculous.

Signum Pro Hyperion or Volkl Cyclone in 17guage will be pretty good at 52lbs.

Or if you want to try a poly hybrid you can use Volkl V-Star 16g or 17g mains with cheap poly like Tourna BH Silver 17 in the cross. V-Star is a soft, stretchy poly but becomes a bit out of control in full stringbed, so it works better with a firmer cross.

I use it from time to time and used it a lot during last summer. It's a great racquet. It's very comfortable, has excellent feel and has a ton of control. Stock, it was a little under powered, but once you lead it up a little it has some some nice power. I put most of the lead at the 12 position and a little at 3 and 9. I find that it takes lead pretty well. I have also added a leather grip which makes the racquet more solid and gives it an even better feel.

I find that it is somewhat unique in that it's both a relatively flexible racquet as well as a crisp feeling racquet.

Thanks for string suggestions...Had 4 sets of doubles last night, very cold in the UK atm, the synthetic grass was frosting over from 8pm! Well even with the excel factory strings at approx 58lbs I was hitting bombs on my ground shots and it's a great volleying stick. Serving was interesting, I'm a leftie who can serve flat between 100-110 mph. However most my aces are served at 90-95 mph sliding the ball out very wide. This racquet for some reason from the off allows me to get some crazy angles and some real nice kick and twist on my 2nd serve, feels light in the hand I can really manipulate the ball...only slight negative I'm down on a bit of power (on serve only) will do some service drills the weekend and take some lead tape with me, don't want to add too much gram's.

I use Pro Line ll 17 gauge and for me it suits the racquet pretty well. It has some pretty nice power and decent spin and it compliments the control character of the racquet. I haven't tried it with a hybrid yet, but think it may play pretty well with a hybrid too.

Great racquet with excellent control! You can really swing out and not have the ball sail on you. The 16 x 20 string pattern is a bit different though: the strings in this pattern will last longer than in 16 x 19 setup, and the launch angle is a bit lower -- great for flat shots, but a bit less spin than in 16 x 19. Control control control, but your groundstrokes (especially backhand) will drop short if you don't really swing and hit the ball.

I also thought this was a really nice racquet. I could place my FH shots quite easily in the corners. What ended up not being great fit for me was lack of confidence with this stick
on my 2HBH. The head shape of this stick being a bit longish and more oval just didn't work for me on that flank, yet for FH it was very precise. Great option for someone
with good mechanics.

I agree; great frame. I got mine two years ago, and considering that it was my first experience with Babolat, I was ignorant of the QC issues. Mine are 342 and 343 grams respectively, but that doesn't leave me much room, personally, to modify the head, which was always my plan. I play the frame fine but would like it at listed specs, weighted up just a bit at 3/9 and maybe a gram at 12. If I get the update next year, I'll definitely request specs and pay to match them.
