Is it worth to upgrade it?Ezone 2022
Which racquet do you refer to? Upgrade the Pure Drive to the 2025 version? Is it worth to upgrade it?
I refer to Ezone 100 2025, I have already had esone 100 2022 but I wonder the answerWhich racquet do you refer to? Upgrade the Pure Drive to the 2025 version?
I haven´t played with the 2021 version so unfortunately I don´t have any experience from the old model.
The Ezone 100 (2025) seems like interesting as well but perhaps later in the spring I will give in to my tennisnerdish needs![]()

I have played with pd 2025 and I agree with you.My brutally honest review of this racket after about 8 hours of play. Pretty much the best vibration dampening system in Pure drive line to date. and i had NO arm pain after 2 hours of play, and this is the first with pure drive racket , at least for me.
However, this is where my positive review ends. Likely due to extreme dampening ,, i can't feel the ball, i even had Luxilon alu power in there and it didn't help. and this is on all areas of stroke, Groundies, Volleys and even over-heads. So i can't tell if i hit a good shot or bad shot. only way i can tell is if i miss hit the ball, groundie would land short. lol.
Similar to toroline wasabi string, NO feel for the ball so i felt completely disconnected to the shots i was hitting, this racket gave me the similar feeling.
as tennis players, we need feel, feel for the ball, that has alot to do with our depth and control of our shots, and it was being negativitly impacted by this racket.
I believe babolat tried very hard to produce a pure drive that is very arm friendly, i applaud them for that. but they went little too far in their attemp and negativily impacted the racket's feel and connectivity to the player.![]()
Well said - I think the performance is there and thought given my age this would give me the extra boost I need to compete against young guns; however, touch and feel are still important elements of my game, and especially at the net I can’t feel anything as the ball hits the string bed. If I was a doubles specialist I think I could get past that, but yeah way too muted. I even crushed an awesome forehand passing shot with it which usually gives me all the feels and makes me love tennis, but I kinda left feeling unsatisfied cause I didn’t get that crunchy sweet spot feel I’m used to.My brutally honest review of this racket after about 8 hours of play. Depends on the player and preference for heavier racquets. I don't recall ever using a tweener spec racquet that's as stable as the 25 PD as it plays really well off the shelf. IMO this is the best ever PD for the masses.I played with the previous iteration of the PD. Its a great frame but it needs lead to give it more mass.
My previous longer term racquets were 2015 pd and 2006 pd. I used 2015 for about 5 years from 2018-2023. However, it did not stand up to big hitter 4.5s enough, and I didn't like the lack of control I had with the 2018 and 2021 pure drive, so I settled on the 2006 pd for 2024.Depends on the player and preference for heavier racquets. I have been wanting to try to ezone 100. Do you recommend the new or previous one?The new pure drive 100 feels much more stiff than the new Ezone 100.
The new Pure Drive bothers my wrist and hand while the new Ezone does not.
So regardless if I like the the new Pure Drive better.. I can't use it... not worth the cost of the string journey.. nor the pain..
More comfort , less power.Compared with the 2021 model, are there any differences?
I currently play with Boom pro 2024.
Can a comparison be made between PD 2025 and Boom Pro 2024?
Appreciable improvement in comfort IMO with the 25. Otherwise to me at least they play almost the same.Compared with the 2021 model, are there any differences?
I'm curious about this as wellI hit with the 98 for a bit this year in two occasions and really liked it. I know the RA is high but that’s never been much of an issue. Is anyone using this long term and still good with comfort on the arm?
I've been using the PD98 for a couple of months -- my first ever actual power frame -- and I really like it. I haven't had a hint of arm pain (for reference, the last gen VCore 98 killed my arm, but generally I don't have serious arm issues). I've strung it up with a range of polys -- stiff and soft -- and I find the comfort to be fine. The sweet spot isn't huge, so it's possible off-center shots might be problematic, but believe me I hit plenty of those and no issues. I think it's a great frame.I'm curious about this as well
What string setups did you find best matched the frame's character?I've been using the PD98 for a couple of months -- my first ever actual power frame -- and I really like it.
