Pure Drive GT or PD Cortex?

Hi

So I came down to the decision I will buy Babolat Pure Drive. I tested Pure Drive Cortex and it feels good. (right weight etc). I just wanna know if Pure Drive GT offers something more or is it similar than Cortex?

Hi Drummerboy. It's good that you had a chance to test the Pure Drive Cortex. I suggest that you wait until you get a chance to play with the new Pure Drive GT. They are pretty much the same except the new PD GT has prettier paint job, very slightly stiffer, very lightly higher swing weight. Mine got 1 overgrip plus 1 Prince dampener, and the total weight for the racquet is 15.3 oz including strings. 1 thing you should be aware is that there are faked PD Cortex on the big auction site. The only way you can get the authentic ones is from this TW or your local tennis shops. So if you pay full price for the PD Cortex, why not get the new PD GT? You'll like it. Hope you can see my point.

Ten_nuts, don't you mean 12.3 oz with overgrip(6g) and dampener(4g)? 15.3 oz seems way too heavy and out of spec.

i disagree with u on the fact that the only way to get real PD's is on TW and not "the big auction site" because i have had problems with it. that being said i only buy the PD team on there cuz they dont make em anymore and they are harder and harder to find these days. and that being said personally i would only use the "big auction site" regardless just cuz u can find some killer deals on there. you just have to know the specs that distinguish a fake from authentic and its all ok

Try the GT. imo, it's tons better than the previous version. Much more stable.

Agreed- the Pure Drive GT has a much better feel to it. The PDC felt too hollow IMO.

Disagree - I've seen some fakes that have been done very well. I saw one where the grapics and weight were spot on, the only thing different was the string holes were spaced goofy and it wasn't until strung that it came to light that it was a fake. I wouldn't trust buying a PD on the pay from anyone!

You get what you pay for my friend...
