i personality like the roddick 2012 over the standard or the gt version. I like the higher swingweight from the roddick and feels more stable than the regular one. the 2012 feels less stiff then the 2009 model.

My son uses the 2012 Pure Drive and I use the Roddick version. The Pure Drive is noticeably lighter and a little more manuverable than the Roddick but they both play fantastic.

One think I've really enjoyed is how different they can play with different setups. You can stiffen the dickens out of them with a stiff poly and soften them likewise with a softer setup.

We use poly/syn gut hybrids but I was able to test a multi this weekend and the PDR played unbelievably comfortable, so much that I'm goint to have to rethink how I set it up.

I actually have both 2012 versions and I thought that in stock form, the PDR felt and played more solid and stable than the PD (for obvious reasons). However, one thing that I didn't like as much about the PDR was that it seems some of the weight was shifted down to the lower part of the hoop/throat area. This made the 2012 PDR have a lower swingweight than the previous model, but felt a little ackward to me as I tend to prefer more polarized setups like the APD. I felt that the PD with lead tape added at 12 (and optionally counter-balanced at the handle), swung and played better.
