Pure Storm with Poly

Has anybody used a Pure strom with a thin, 18 gage, string? How does it play? Do you get more spin? Is it harsh on the arm?
I like the Storm a lot, because of the control, but I find ot hard to produce spin. I also like it because it is softer on my arm.

I'm only using arm friendly strings with mine. Currently using 17g Maxim Touch and I have no problem generating spin.

Hey-
I've been using the pure storm tour with 18g strung at 55lbs with no arm problems whatsoever. I use Gosen Micro... never had an arm problem and I get killer spin from this stick. :)

It's not really a spin stick....certainly not compared to something like the APDGT.

Thin gauge is fine, though it doesn't make as much difference as in other racquets. The key thing with this racquet is to string it lower ie <55lbs.

I have 3 Pure Storm Tour GT's and I have them all strung with VS Team 17 mains and Lux Alu Power crosses and I feel I get good spin from them with that setup.

I get 4-6 AWESOME hours and then 3-4 great-good hours before the Lux either breaks or dies :)

Why have you got 3 x BLXs, and 3 x PSGT Tours??

Can't you decide which raquet is more suited to your game?

I just play for fun and like to test out different racquets.

Couldn't decide which of my racquets I preferred, so I just decided to keep them all :D

I prefer the BLX 6.1 18x20 and PB10 Mid on hardcourts and artificial grass and the Bab PST GT on slower red Euro clay.

I'm not a pro player, so I just have the racquets I like in my bag.
Instead of 8 of one kind, I have 3 of two kinds and 2 of one kind :p
