Q for Troy: Prince Phantoms...

Hi Troy,

Could you compare the Phantom Pro 100P and the new Phantom Pro 100 (18x20)?

I noted from the 100P review you rated it top 3 and possibly the first 100” to win a place in your racket bag, I’d be interested in your thoughts given the new 100 (18x20) comes with a little more mass and is slightly more headlight (though maybe not as much after you add a leather grip).

Cheers

@Tao69
Adding a leather grip usually shifts the balance more headlight as leather is heavier than the synthetic grips on the Prince frames.

@Tao69,
I find the Phantom Pro 100 (18x20) to feel very similar to the 16x18 version, but with better control, and it yields a lower launch angle. I have a slight preference for the feel of the Phantom Pro 100P, over the other two Phantom Pro 100's, as it feels slightly more firm, and crisp. If I had to pick between the Phantom Pro 100 16x18 or 18x20, I would likely go with the 18x20, and try it with thin polys, and add a bit of weight. Of the three, I still prefer the Phantom Pro 100P.
