Hi guys, the people from Qlipp sent me their sensor to check it out. I know that on this forum are few reviews on the Qlipp sensor, but this is my opinion.
I have been playing with the sensor almost a month. I'm playing with the Wilson Burn FST 95.
1. The Package
The Qlipp tennis sensor comes in a very small, but enough big box. You will find the sensor attached into a smaller packing inside. Also, the box will include a usb cable for charging.
2. Putting the sensor on the racket
For the first time putting the sensor on the racket it seems a little bit hard, but later you got used to it. Unfortunately, every time when you want to charge the sensor you will need to take it off the racket. But you can buy a L-shaped usb charger from Qlipp site, which will make the charging easier.
3. Qlipp app
Qlipp app seems to be very nice in terms of design and efficiency. The app has updates, and the people from Qlipp are looking to give their best to their customers.
The results of your play will be shown in a very nice way on the app. There will be many diagrams to show your certain stroke. Qlipp will show you almost every stroke correct, but except few false detected strokes. I have spoken with them in matter of this problems and they said they are going to update the app soon.
4. Qlipp on court
Qlipp weight is 8g. For me this isn't a big problem, but for someone it may be because 8g isn't the same in the dampener position or 8 grams in the handle or head. I didn't notice any problems with the sensor. Plays very nice, but the dampening could be better. Now in February, Qlipp is releasing a rubber cover for more dampening. I'll look forward to test it.
5. Overall
I think that Qlipp is a really nice gadget to modern tennis game. I know that there are many other sensors on the market on which you need to put the sensor on the racket handle, but Qlipp made first the sensor as a dampener and I really like their idea. I hope that Qlipp will take care on the strokes issue and the dampening.
Once again, I'd like to thank Qlipp for giving me a opportunity to play with their sensor.
