Sam can nearly match Ivo serve for serve (in his win over him last summer I even felt he slightly outserved him) and can outplay him anywhere else. Always a toss up when you have two guys with amazing serve and less then stellar return games (although Querrey's isnt bad) but I go with Sam in 4.

I pick Karlovic. But, just for this match, they should give both guys only 1 serve each :). I think Querrey would win that way.

I thought Querrey looked less than convincing at the end of that Devilder match. He's a really smart player, but the weapons (serve&forehand) didn't look as threatening. It could turn into a serious battle. I think Ivo will go through in 4.

He was in visible pain... I would imagine you might be right, due to this.

This match will be "interesting".
Interesting as in "eye-gouging"ly "interesting"? hahahaha

No, but seriously it should be a good test of the youngster's groundstrokes. Looks like he has some reach too, maybe if he can get a racquet on a string of serves here and there, he might be able to maybe most likely possibly in a very probable way, MAKE. SOMETHING. HPAPPPPPPEENNN. OH YEAH LET'S GO AMERICA

If Querry plays like he did Tue against Berdych, he should win the match. Saw Querry's first round win at the Open and he was very impressive. My buddy nicknamed him "Smokin' Sam Querry" as his serve was smokin' and he was ripping winners from both forehand and backhand sides...

I'll be at this match tomorrow, assuming I get there early enough to get good seats.

It looks like a good one. In fact, Armstrong's schedule tomorrow looks really good.

Karlovic took the minibreak back with a monster forehand return on a 2nd serve, but gives the set away with a forehand UE. 1st blood to the American.

Doubtful a 5 setter between this players can be exhausting.Maybe their arm will be a bit sore but physically the winner should be fine
No, the shoulder will be super sore and they won't be able to serve aces in the next round

Hehe, yeah, not much chasing down the balls. On the other hand, the amount of fuzz in the air and the vapors of burnt rubber must be terrible for their lungs.

Here is my TAKE on this.
1. Forehand -- Querry has the edge, albeit very small edge
2. Backhand -- like Ivo better, better slice
3. Serve -- same 1st serve, better 2nd by IVO
4. Net game -- Ivo by a MILE
5. Return game -- Querry cause more consistant.
6. Baseline --- Edge to Querry, more consistant.
7. Passing shot -- Edge to Querry.
8. Net Touch -- IVO by a mile

In conclusion, Sam Querry wins in 4 tiebreakers.
