This just occurred to me last night and have been pondering since...
Anyone think manufacturers like head just make another iteration of a racquet for the sake of covering their asses??? Im talking about Heads Radical/Prestige Pro with a 16x19 string pattern. So when one of us asks "his racquet has a 16x19 string pattern" they can say they are using the pro version or some similar comment. Same thing with the Wilson 6.1's, I know they had a euro hyper in 18x20 but starting with the ncodes they started making them 18x20, again, to cover their asses? or to actually create a new racquet (The 6.1 18x20 is actually a great stick, i love it)? Wilson Kpro/Kpro Open (obviously designed to hide a pure drive under the paint)...
Or do they actually make the racquet because they feel it is a good stick? (As you can sense, i am against this, I believe all racquet manufacturing is all gimmicks and lies today)
