Question about strings losing tension

I've been using a full bed of PSGD strung at 61 lbs for a long time. I'll break a string within 8-12 hours of play. Typically right before I break a string I really like the feel. I can usually tell when it's about to break because of the groove I'm in. My question is I know strings lose tension. Should I consider changing my starting tension so that the racket plays better from the beginning instead of near the end of the string life? I'd love any advice/suggestions you might have. Thanks!

Please describe the feel factor? Does it look like you are getting more control or getting more pop? I would try it in 5lbs decrements and see how it feels at it nears the 8 hour mark.

I read something about speeding up the break in period for the string. It said to stand on the full bed of strings (on carpet w/o shoes) for 30 seconds on each side. Has anyone done this and thinks it works?

I do this and believe it works. According to racquetune, I lose 1.5-2 lbs immediately after.
