Question for Andy: Yonex mids

If I were to get a Yonex midsize racquet, something that would be a good and fun hitter, to add to my collection, what would you recommend? I know you've pretty much used them all. RDX 500, RDiS 100 mid, more recent Tour F 93? And not just one of those three. Any recommendation. I had the MP Tour-1 mid at one point, but sold it off. That thing was a beast to swing, IIRC. And why would you choose the one you recommend? Many thanks!

Bump. Anyone can chime in in. Chris? Anyone else who has extensive use of Yonex mids.

Well, the only one left that you haven't tried is the SV 95. We really enjoyed the playtest of that one, so I'd definitely suggest giving that a demo and seeing what you think!

No, I haven't tried any of them, but I know you have. I was just looking to see which of them you'd recommend adding to my collection. I went ahead and picked up a used rdis 100 mid. Should be getting it later this week. I guess, of all of them, which is your favorite?

The RDX 500 Mid and RDiS 100 Mid are my two favorites out of the bunch, but the Tour F 93 is also a great modern option as well.

Hi guys,
need your suggestion, last yonex mid i used is V-core tour 89, it's a really nice racket and love it so much.
But this aging eyes start to have a problem to hit clean with it, then i try to switch to 93F and now having a hard time to adjust to it.
Strung 93F with low tension poly (50/47) but still felt stiff and lack of control, too much power.
Any suggestion?

It sounds like the 93 square inch head is giving you the extra forgiveness and power you were looking forward - now we just need to reel it in a bit and get some control. Try increasing your tension 2 lbs to 52/49 lbs and see if that works for you.

Hi Andy ,Thanks for the response.
Actually i start with 53/50 and it feels like not enough pop ,especially when i should return a heavy slice shot with single backhand, the thing i almost never faced with 89T. But i also can't swing it flatter long and fast because most of the time the ball will fly too long. Maybe the mass plays a role here.
I even thinking to drop the tension to 48/45.
If the string setup can't solve this, i'm gonna try to use leather grip and some lead.
