Question for Chris: Volkl V-Cell 10 300 vs. Super G 10 295

Hi Chris,

I remember you really liked Volkl Super G 10 295 back in the day when you tested it. I haven't found any of the subsequent Volkl 10 series to match the Super G 10 series.
I am intrigued the V-Cell 10 300 and reading the reviews it seems to offer the same level of stability and performance as the old Super G 10 295.
Have you ever had a chance to hit with V-Cell 10 300, and if you have how do you compare it to SG 10?

Thank you in advance!

Sorry for the late reply.

I've not found anything to match the playability of the Super G 10 295 at that spec. If you can handle a little more weight, the C10 EVO is an excellent racquet and has been the most impressive Volkl release since the Super G series on the whole for me. If you've not tried the C10 EVO it is definitely worth a demo to see if it's a good fit for you. For me it offers a good blend of stability/maneuverability, excellent feel and tons of control.
Cheers, Chris, TW.

Hi Chris,

Thank you so much for you detailed response. C10 Evo does look very interesting. I still have a few Super G 10s left. I add weight to them so I think customized they're comparable the specs of the C10 Evo.
Does C10 Evo have a feel similar to Super G 10? What I like about the latter is the kind of stiff racquet face while being very comfortable. Last but not least, which one would you pick if you had to choose one?
Much appreciated!

Tough to say how the C10 Evo is going to play against your Super G 10 since it is modified, but I would say it is going to likely be the closest in feel that you will find. I would definitely recommend demoing the C10 Evo so you can hit them side by side. If I were to pick one I'd go with the C10 Evo. I thought it was a great racquet in stock form with a low enough swingweight that you could add some weight to the hoop if you wanted without making it feel too hefty.
Cheers,
Chris, TW
