question for cross knots

first of all, hello all i've been stringing for over a year now...with a Silent Partner Jazz and just recently (2 weeks ago) got a wise. so far i like it

i use a parnell knot on all my tie off except the starting knot for the cross and just recently got a starting clamp

i'm wondering if i could use the starting clamp for the crosses and use a regular knot for the knot in a larger grommet or will it pull through...

The Parnell should work fine for the tie off assuming you grommet is not too big from the starting knots.

thanks irvin, actually your videos is what inspired me to get a starting clamp..hahah

they are very informative and pretty easy to follow. i'm also going to try your weaving method with the string..
