Question for Fischer M speed 98 owners

Is this racquet better from the baseline than at the net? I tend to volley better with stiffer frames and the 59 flex rating worries me. The TW review also gave volleys a 77, so it seems like this racquet is best from the baseline due to its extreme flex which gives it a ton of control. Am I right or wrong?

i played doubles with mine today for the first time in a tourney. i give it a B+. it feels nice, pretty good maneuverability and decent pop to put the volley away. it is awesome from the baseline and i was serving great with it today as well. really good stick.

i think the DNX 9 was actually a better doubles racket imo but not as good a feel from the baseline or for serving. the dnx9 i think is the best volley racket out there...

I found the dnx 9 a little too powerful from the baseline also. I am looking for a solid 12-12.5 oz racquet that has good maneuverablity for its weight, and is great at serve and volleying. I will be playing a lot of doubles with the racquet so these factors are very important. I have narrowed my choices down to the volkl dnx 10 mid,the dnx 10 mp(sounds like the mid is better though) yonex rds mid(I currently play with the mid plus, and thought with lead I could get it to play like the mid with the bigger head that would help during quick exchanges at net), fischer m speed 98, flexp prestige 98, the t flight 335 in both patterns, the redondo 98 and the n6.1 18x20. I am worried about playing with mids during doubles play though. I would also like ot hear any feedback you have on these frames. You seem to have played with a lot of racquets what are your views on mid size racquets for doubles? Also out of the racquets I listed which one do you think would be best for doubles? Feel free to add any suggestions as well. I don't want anything discontinued though. Thanks

out of the ones you mentioned i have played the following:

1) dnx 10 mid - great racket and could play with this one anytime. doesnt play as heavy as its specs.

2) dnx 10 MP - nice racket but a tad to powerful for my tastes.

3) fxp prestige MP - nice racket but way more powerful than the Lm prestige. had too much power for me, spin was okay but not great, hits a nice heavy ball.

4) fxp prestige mid - played this racket all summer. served great with it, great control but the head is only 89" instead of 93" and the sweet spot is tiny. too tiny for my backhand so i had to sell it.

5) rds 001 mid - i could play this and the dnx 10 mid all day. very solid and had a big sweetspot for only being 90". it had a bigger sweetspot than the 93" fxp prestige mid without question.

6) fischer m speed 98 - now my racket of choice. going to give it a nice long play for the rest of the year i think. great feel, flexible and once i got used to it now my serves are deadly once again. took about 3 matches to dial in the serve. one of the best rackets from the baseline i have ever hit. plays lighter than the specs. no real weaknesses.

next racket im trying is the technifibre 335, it will be between that one and the fischer for my number one racket.

my dunlop 200 mfil is never too far away to use as old reliable however. :)

thanks for your feedback miles. For doubles, which of these racuqtes do you think would be best? Did you find the mid size yonex and volkl tough to handle during quick net exchanges? Thanks

By the way which string pattern are you going with on the 335. I am very interested in hearing if you prefer the 335 or the fischer.
