Question for Jason: Replacement for Babolat SFX

I am the end of the line with my pair of Babolat SFX. I have low arch and the really..really..really wide feet.

I was thinking of getting a pair between the following:

Kswiss ultra express
Nike air vapor advantage
Nike air max cage
Asics solution speed 2
Asics solution slam

Im not worried about durability. I want a lighter shoe and good cushioning. What would you suggest? Thanks!

Of those choices, I'd go with either the KSwiss Ultra Express or the Asics Gel Solution Speed 2 shoe.

The Asics is just slightly more narrow in the toe box but the material is soft enough that it stretches out.

I love both.

J. Don't the SFX run 1/2 size large? I wear a 11.5 usually, but for the
SFX a 11 fits perfect. So if the op wears a 12 for the SFX, shouldn't he
order a 12.5 for the KSwiss?

too bad we missed the boat! I saw them in the store and the uppers look very soft and pliable. Not sure I would like it? I will give them a test fit next time.

So in my quest to get a replacement for Babolat SFX (Size 12) I bought the following shoes:


New Balance 996V1 2E Size 12.5: Still not wide enough. My width is 4E according to a visit to NB store. The side of my foot close to my smallest toe would hurt.


Kswiss ultra express Size 12 Still not wide enough.. The side of my foot close to my smallest toe would hurt.


Nike Air Max Cage 12: Width is great but doesn’t have cushioning I like. I have flat feet and I don’t like how the arch support is.


TW Playtesters? Are there any current shoes that would provide the width and cushioning of Babolat SFX?
