question for tw shoe review testers

Hey guys I have a thread in shoes & apparel but am not getting a whole lot of information about some shoes and hope you guys can help me out.

First of all my current shoes are new balance 654's and I like them quite a bit, but I'm not sure if I would like to upgrade to an even better shoe like adidas barricades or asics gel resolutions.

I have a sort of flat+medium width (I would say) foot and I need something that will fit me since I don't live near an authorized seller of these shoes.

I don't want anything that will slow me down, or hurt my feet. The barricade 5's look good but I'm not sure if they will be too clumsy. And the gel resolutions look quick and comfortable, but I don't really know how long they will last me. Would a good compromise be maybe the barricade 1?
I really don't know much about shoes since the 654's were my first really good shoes.

Thanks you guys for reading such a long post and appreciate the help.

I just don't know what to pick because you guys like all of these shoes. Should it just be a matter of looks I guess? Will the gel resolutions and vapor 5's last long enough to justify the price? Or should I just have to get the heavier shoes so they don't wear out in a month.

These are what I'm still looking at-
Barricades 1, 2,5
Vapor 5
Asics gel resolution

What would you think would be best?

If you're looking at the Barricades id be looking at the B5, has more cushioning and is lighter than the Barricade 4 which to me felt like wearing a clog. If you wanted more cushioning with this shoe you could always buy sorbothane insoles or maybe even cushioned insoles with pronation support, I have a low arch as well and i think it's pretty safe to say people with a low arch do pronate (basically means your feet roll inwards).
Or if you want a more cushy shoes, I've heard the Asics shoe is the way to go. Not that I've tried on that shoe, but i have tried on every Barricade shoe since the 2nd version.

All of the shoes you are considering are great shoes. However, you might find the arch support a little high in the Barricade V (and the Barricade IV for that matter).

Another shoe to consider would be the Cage II as it features a durability guarantee, is a fast feeling shoe and the arch should fit comfortably.

The Gel Resolution is an excellent shoe for comfort, traction and speed as is the Vapor V. These two were the least durable of the bunch for me.

If durability is key, I would go with wither of the Barricades (I or II) or the Cage II.

Best of luck,

Thanks a lot chris, but I have two more questions if you don't mind answering.

I have to go up a whole size in nike running shoes just so my feet don't feel squeezed in and they are still too tight. The toebox is too narrow and I don't think they are wide enough.; do the cage 2's have a really narrow toe box?

Also I'm eyeing the adidas a lot more than the nikes because they supposedly fit just a little wider. Out of all of the barricades aren't the 5's supposed to be the best? Or do you think the 1's or 2's are better in terms of lightness and cushioning?

Thanks a lot for helping me through with my shoe selection. I'll be sure to always mention tenniswarehouse since you guys have such great customer service.
