Question on Prince Original Graphite

I just bought a used Prince Original Graphite Oversize. It has a singe green line on it and it came with a leather case that fits around the head of the racquet. The info on the side says Prince, 1977, 1983. So I am assuming it was made in 1983. The racquet had single little grommets in it (which were no good anymore) except at the throat where it has the six piece grommet insert. The current grommets for the Prince Original Graphite Oversize does not fit this racquet. I have read that some of the older models had either no grommets or single grommets. Again, this racquet has indents around the frame of the racquet so it looks like it is supposed to have grommets.

Does anyone have info on this or where I can find some grommets?

I do believe that you can use the newer grommets with bumper and side-strips with throat peice. I have Prince Boron which had the individual grommets (which were no good), and simply replaced with the newer type Prince Graphite 110 grommets (bumper, side, throat) and they fit fine.

If that doesn't work and you have already tried, I'm not sure where you can find the single grommets. Sure someone will post somewhere to find if you need them.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I tried the new ones and they don't fit. I think I am going to have to use those individual grommets that you can buy.

Looks like Alpha might carry them. I looked on their site but couldn't find. Go to the Contact section and call them and they probably have what you need for individual grommets.
