Now the question turns to the Nole fans in this forum. Which of Djokovic's losses was the toughest and most heartbreaking? Discuss and vote!
Imagine if Fed lost the 09 final to Soderling in the exact same fashion. Bet you would have found it heartbreakingHow is the 2015 FO final a heartbreaking loss? Wawrinka totally outplayed him after the 1st set.
The only truly heartbreaking losses from this list 2013 FO and 2008 Olympics and maybe 2014 AO. He didn't come close to winning all the other matches.
If you wanna see what a heartbreaking loss is look at Nadal's 2012 AO or Fed's 2011 US.

How exactly is 2014 AO heartbreaking? He is still the AO GOAT anyway.
Not sure if serious or trolling...How is the 2015 FO final a heartbreaking loss? Wawrinka totally outplayed him after the 1st set.

Isn't that obvious? After Djovack straight-setted Nada(l), they thought he was playing BOAT tennis and would steamroll his way to the title, then comes this annoying Wawrinka pest and blows Djock off the court, and one is left wondering: will Novak ever win this?!
Of course in hindsight it's not that bad since Djok did win RG in the end, but at the time it was obviously quite devastating.
Exactly. I don't consider that as heartbreaking at all. AO 12 14 17 and Wimbledon 07 all much worse."How is exactly is RG 2009 heartbreaking? He is still the RG GOAT anyway."
On a serious note that FO 2015 loss must have been crushing, it really looked like Novak had some sort of mental block at Roland Garros. The applause from the crowd, the sportsmanship from Stan and the tears from Djokovic. If not the most heartbreaking it must be the most emotional.
If hed Lost fair and square what is there to cry about?Imagine if Fed lost the 09 final to Soderling in the exact same fashion. Bet you would have found it heartbreaking
So you wouldn't feel heartbroken at all if you saw what was probably his best and last chance of winning the FO slip away?If hed Lost fair and square what is there to cry about?
A lot more for Fed in 2009 because Nadal was only 23 years old back then. In 2015 everyone knew Djokovic had Nadal figured out + Nadal was getting old.So you wouldn't feel heartbroken at all if you saw what was probably his best and last chance of winning the FO slip away?

It doesn't just depend on whether it's a deciding set loss or not. It also depends on what is on the line, pre-match expectations and momentum swings during the match.
I don't get the sense that if your favorite player got outplayed that loss is somehow gonna be heartbreaking. He was so far from beating Wawrinka it's ridiculous. And to compare 2015 FO to 2011 US Open when Fed was serving for the match, had multiple match points only to lose to some fluke shots that got in is a joke. Djokovic was never in a winning position at any point of the match but if Djokovic fans expected Djokovic to just own Wawrinka then it's their problem they couldn't handle that loss.Isn't that obvious? Once again, it's not just about how tight the loss was. He was expected to win the final as he was in great form at that tournament and in general. He could have easily won the fourth and with that gain momentum in the fifth but messed it up and, a great chance for the Career Slam was gone. Way worse than Fed's FO final losses to the King of Clay. As for Federer's matches, RG >>> Rome so it's not fair to compare.Well if you expected that Djokovic was just going to stroll through Wawrinka then you're funny. Just because it's a FO final loss doesn't mean it's heartbreaking. As I said - Wawrinka outplayed him in the same fashion Federer lost the 2006/2007 FO finals. Were those heartbreaking to Federer fans you think? Not a chance. 2006 Rome was 1000x more devastating than the 2006/2007 FO finals.
With Nadal out of the picture he was always going to have more chances as evidenced by winning in 2016 with a good chance to win there again, what the hell are we even talking about here?Once again, it's not just about how tight the loss was. Ask anyone what they think was a more heartbreaking loss and then be shocked when looking at the results. As for Federer's matches, RG >>> Rome so it's not fair to compare.

Please, you were one of the main guys saying that he will never win the French because he will massively decline at the beginning of 2016 already (you know, 28-29 years old, playing just as demanding style as Nadal... ).With Nadal out of the picture he was always going to have more chances as evidenced by winning in 2016 with a good chance to win there again, what the hell are we even talking about here?

The tour sucks even more now than back then. Please, you were one of the main guys saying that he will never win the French because he will massively decline at the beginning of 2016 already (you know, 28-29 years old, playing just as demanding style as Nadal... ).

You are wrong! As a fan of Roger Federer from 2004 onwards, Rome 2006 loss is more painful than any of his losses in RG. Rome 2006, he had double match points. It was a superb match. It was a devastating loss for Roger Federer. It's up there with the most painful losses of Roger.
Even the commentator say at the end of the match, that it was a devastating loss for Roger.
No one for the 2013 USO final?
Even the 2011/2013 semis in RG didn't annoy me this bad.
Yeah, Djokovic got an average Nadal in the Wimb final. It was only fair Nadal got an average Djokovic in the USO 2013 final.Your guys USO 2013 final is our Wimbledon 2011 isn't it? If it is it has to be more anger than heartbreak
You don't need to be in a winning position for the loss to be heartbreaking, although that certainly "helps"A heartbreaking loss = losing a huge match when you're in a winning position. How was Djokovic ever in a winning position?
AO 2008 SF. Fedr owned by baby Djokovic.Wimbledon 2012 SF. Owned by grampa Fed.
