Questions about qualifying for futures tournaments‏‏

Hello. I have a few questions about the qualifying procedures for futures tournaments.

I am a 19 year old who is currently playing in Men's Open tournaments in Florida. I am hoping to compete in the futures tournament in Tampa in May 2010. It will be the first futures tournament I apply for.

I have no ITF ranking. The ITF rules state that during the admission process they first look at the applicant’s ITF ranking, and then national ranking.

Am I correct in my knowledge that there are no Men's Open national rankings? Does this mean that they will instead look at my Men’s Open Florida ranking?

What are the things I can do that will give me the best possible chance at qualifying for the futures tournament in May 2010 in Tampa?

Thank you.

They wont care about your florida ranking only your national ranking. You need to play the nationals to get one without playing in pro tournies. There is mens open national tournies. I wanna say there is one in Ft lauderdale every year. Your sectional ranking wont matter.

I thought there are no Men's Open national rankings. If I go to

http://tennislink.usta.com/tournaments/rankings/rankinghome.aspx

and select "National" and "Men's Open Singles" and then click "Find it!" I get

"No ranking information could be found."

but If I do the same procedure for "Men's 30 singles" then I get results.

Also, if I use the "Tournament Search" feature on this website I also get no results for Men's Open Singles.

This makes me believe that there are no Men's Open rankings. If there are, do you know a way that I can check them? Also, do you know a way that I can find Men's Open tournaments, as this site (usta.com) doesn't seem to have any listings.

Thanks.
