Questons about wilson, fairway, and **** leather grips

I recently played with an old wilson racquet (mostly white and said ceramic on it) and the grip on this racquet was the best I had ever felt. It was way tackier than any leather I've felt from the start. Every other leather grip I've tried took a little sweat from my hands to feel tacky. It was an old wilson leather grip. I know it must be different from the newer wilson leather grips because the color was very different and it felt so much better. I did a little searching and read that fairway made the some of the older wilson leather grips. Is this true? and has anyone ever tried both the fairway leather grip and **** leather (not artificial leather) grips? do they feel the same like **** says they do?
