If your life was on the line, who would you go with? I'm not sure. I know after the Wimbledon match two or so years ago, Taylor said something about how Musetti played "chip and run" and he couldn't really deal with it. I think Musetti is mentally tougher and has more variety, but I agree Taylor should be the slight favorite (which he is) due to serve and a little more power off the ground. It's a great matchup.

Speaking of which does anyone know how long it will probably take this Alex Spider-Man guy to free solo 101 flights up Taipei 101 which he will be starting shortly. Because I want to watch him do it but I also want to watch Meddy lose to Learner.

PS, Fritz.

Musetti is winning but not easily. Fritz has shown very poor performance lately (Losing to a washed Tsitsipas, Baez on hard court, and a returning Hurkacz right before AO is bad looks) and dropping a set against Old Stan. Musetti is on the rise on HC but is still in general an inferior player to Fritz on that surface.

Chip and run, that’s awesome. I use that style but never had a name for it

Lore defanged the mighty GMP serve in multiple occasions with his chips and is one of the best defenders on tour. Like Federer his hand skill allow him to return a surprising number of complicated balls.

Against Sincaraz and Djokovic he suffers their tremendous follow-up as he the quality of the ball isn't enough. So chip and run works more often against the Zverev/Fritz type of player, surface and conditions permitting.

Massive win for Musetti! I wonder what is going on with the Fritz man though. McEnroe said he has "problems" but did not elaborate further. I thought he has lost his form due to playing too many matches before and after Wimbledon last year. Fritz´ schedule was really overdone and stupid. Still just a lengthy recovery? Too bad for the girlz this.

I would never have thought Musetti in straights, I do love that! But Fritz has shown poor form lately and looks to be a god match-up for Musetti, who is 4-1 in the last five meetings...
